Great mix of education subjects
We have been using these books for the past 2 summers and as an educator, I am very happy with the books! We use these books as a review (I find myself saying, to them, this isn't supposed to be hard, just a fun activity to keep us learning) It's something "easy" to keep the education flowing during the summer month and not for learning new materials (although some topics may be newish). The map in the back is a great way to track their progress and incentive for them to get to the next level. What I like most about these books in comparison to others is that the subjects are in mixed order for each level instead of an overwhelming block of all the LA, Math, Science then Social Studies.

So much fun!
These summer brainquest books are perfect for my kiddos. They love doing them because they get to put a sticker on their map for each page done. There are extra stickers for bonus work and “outside quests” to get kids outside exploring nature. As a homeschool family that schools year round, these are a great way to get my kids to have fun with school in the summer months, reviewing what was learned the year before and prepping them for more learning in the fall! My kids can’t wait to start their summer books in another month!

Good book, age-appropriate
My 5-year-old is starting K this Fall and we used this book over the summer before K. The lessons were age-appropriate, although more coloring than I would have liked (e.g., a lot of lessons of the "color all of the objects that start with 'm' blue" variety). I know coloring is a good pre-writing exercise, but it just got really tedious for my daughter, so we'd often just have her circle things instead of color them. She really liked the sticker map reward system.

We will buy every year
These books are incredible. Easy to stick to the plan for the summer. Made summer learning interesting and fun, with a cute sticker chart goal.

Not just busy work, a great challenge for the summer
I bought the prek/k and 2nd/3rd books for my daughters, this summer. The books cost a bit more than other options out there but I knew the map & stickers would be a great incentive & visual for my kids. And I was right, they love finishing pages to fill up their stickers. The book itself is well made, has great illustrations and a LOT of variety in work so the kids don't get bored with it. I will say, however, if you are looking for simple busy work for your kids this is not it. There are definitely some pages they can do on their own but others that I have had to sit down and work through with them. It really is bridging the two grades (as well as visiting previous grades subject matter for my almost 3rd grader). I love that they are being challenged with these workbooks! I definitely plan on buying them again next summer!
