When you lower the foot all the way down to sew, the screw you tighten and loosen by hand to change different feet will be aprox. 1/2” above the needle plate, foot plate. A long shank will be aprox. 1” above when lowered all the way down, that’s how you can tell. Most home machines are low shank. **Q: What kind of warranty does this machine have? I am not seeing any warranty information anywhere.** A: It come with a standard 2 year manufacturers warranty and has a 30 day return. Of course Amazon provides additional warranty for a fee.
