Great for plants
This moss is so soft and is great quality. It is dried so the color will not fade!!! The appearance is so vibrant and green. It does not have a smell and is easy to assemble around the base of your plants to help keep them moist and it looks cute too!!

Half dirt, crumbly moss
I ordered the preserved reindeer moss to create a wreath. The moss has a thick dirt backing, and is impossible to fix to the wreath, which is covered in rope..It’s not at all what I want or what I need. I will ask for a refund.

Beautiful large moss pieces. A generous amount to work with!
I use moss in my potted flower arrangements, and I was very pleased when I received this! The pieces were nice and green and luscious looking. The sizes included vary of course, but the moss pieces I received were good sizes, that can easily be worked with. There was a bit of shedding, which is to be expected, but all of the moss pillows were whole and lovely. It's also beautifully preserved, and it's of very good quality. The moss pillows arrived neatly placed in their box. I could tell that they were packaged with care, and they were in excellent condition because of it. I appreciated that. The box contains a generous amount of moss, so I will have plenty to work with this Spring.Overall, I'm extremely happy with this pillow moss. It's a quality product and I highly recommend it!

Very thick and crumbly
The pieces are pretty but they crumble very easily. They are also very thick - some of them over an inch thick which didn't really work for my use. It was not possible to shave some of the thickness off without them falling apart.

Huge Quantity of Moss
Placed around the bases of a few plants that sit on the floor. Looks really nice. I did throw a few rocks on top of the soil and under the preserved moss to see if that would keep the moss from getting "too wet." Hoping that will help adhere to what the manufacturer is recommending as far as not letting the moss get "too wet." The color is pretty and looks like healthy moss.

Lovely moss
These moss pads are great, they are well preserved but still have a great color. I am planning to use them in a terrarium that I am going to make at some point. My only complaint is that they have a strong dirt odor, but I guess that should be kind of expected.

Big Box of Bright Green Moss
This is a great value for a very large box filled with bright green moss. I used this to dress the soil for all my indoor plants. It makes them look so much prettier on display!

Like the Product, But Seriously Question The Instructions
I've used this stuff before from other suppliers, mostly local. Place it around potted plants and it looks nice, and can help retain moisture. In fact, you have to be a bit careful because that can be a two-edged sword. The moss likes to stay moist, and is good about capturing it (it has no actual roots). So it can either end up grabbing water you meant for the plant to get, or it can act as a moisture retainer for the soil below, keeping the plant too wet. So you have to monitor what it is doing, and keep an eye on the primary plant for a while to be sure it is doing well. That said, this product is advertised for "stuffed house plants, terrariums, gardens, flower pots, ...". Which is pretty typical uses. But then it says, "Please keep it dry and do not soak in water. " Wait. Are they saying it can't get wet? Because you aren't going to want to remove it just to water, wait on the topsoil to dry, then replace it over and over. That makes no sense. Here's my take: sorry but it will have to get wet. There is no way to put it around house plants, in terrariums, in gardens, and in flower pots and then keep it dry while what is underneath needs water. And why can't it get wet? Other live green moss I've used can.I guess I will find out what happens if I get it wet anyway. Maybe it will all fall apart? Die? Grow like so alien creature? No way to avoid it. I got this to use like any other green moss. So I don't understand the warning. Minus two stars for making me wonder why this product doesn't work like all others as it should. Maybe the instructions are wrong.
