These have been my go to shoes for several years now. Yes, they have good slip resistance, are comfortable (wide fit is the best for me), and have a reasonable life. I get a good 12-13 months of use, better than cheaper and more expensive shoes I've tried (I'm not paying $100+ for a kitchen work shoe, so god bless if you do). This shoe also addresses my BIG PET PEEVE of other slip resistant kitchen shoes, the soles don't get easily clogged up with chunks and globs of food bits that inevitably hit the floor in a busy lunch rush kitchen (yes, we keep all work surfaces etc. sanitary as required, but lots of stuff makes it to the floor to be swept up later). A layer of debris stuck to the bottom of your shoes is neither comfortable or slip resistant, and you end up tracking that crap wherever you go (a quick run to the dinning area to greet a customer you actually like?). Anyway, the pattern of the sole works great in a kitchen. In conclusion, I really like this Skechers shoe. They don't fall apart after a few months, and they work for me in the kitchen. They have other similar types, slip on, flex, etc., but check the pattern on the sole. If not the same, skip it as a kitchen work shoe. I highly recommend getting new insoles, soles, whichever you prefer to call them as these do not last that long and the memory foam is not too thick. It is not like you would expect, but I have a very high arch on my foot and weight stagnates around 170 LBS @6’ 1” if that gives any insight and my feet normally ache after a 7-8 hour shift.
