Stonewall Kitchen Maple Bacon Onion Jam, 11.75 oz

I feel like we're a little late to the party on this, but my husband ordered a burger at a restaurant a month or so ago and they had maple bacon jam on it. I tasted it, and we both loved it. In the search for a similar/same product as the restaurant uses (we didn't think to ask while we were there), we found this. We've had several jams/condiments from this brand and had high hopes for this jam. To say that it is delicious is an understatement! This stuff is amazing, and it disappeared fast and I'm now having to order another jar. We'll be keeping this stuff in the house at all times!

I really like the jam. As another reviewer stated, it's REALLY good on a burger. It's also good with a little bit of goat cheese (or another mild cheese that wouldn't fight with the flavors of the jam) on a cracker.It's definitely sweeter than I had expected, and there's a slight synthetic taste (which is why I didn't give it 5 stars). I've found that my preference is "less is more" when using it, but that's just my personal taste. Overall very happy with the purchase.

I was excited to try this. It smelled so bad. I don't mean a little bad, I mean omg make you throw up bad. I went ahead and put it in the fridge. Next day it still smelled awful but I decided to try it. The smaller bite ever. I mean just a speck really. Tasted like it smelled. What a waste of money.

Let me start by saying that this stuff is different. Very very different. Its not your normal simple basic jam or jelly. If you don't like fusion foods or cuisine that combines flavors that don't usually go together, then this isn't for you. But if you DO have an adventurous palette, and enjoy fusion foods and trying new things, then I highly recommend this. When I say it's different, I mean it in the best way possible.When they say its a savory and robust combination of flavors, they aren't kidding. It doesn't have a traditional bacon flavor. It has an aftertaste reminiscent of the bacon bits you put on salad. Its got apples in it, but they aren't a strong prevalent flavor. The maple flavor isn't overwhelming at all, nor are the onions, though there are larger bits of onion throughout the jar. All of it blends together to make an excellent spread for toast or crackers, and anything else that goes good with a spread. It is a stronger flavored jam, but not in a bad way, and it doesn't leave an unpleasant aftertaste, provided you like bacon. LOL I tried it because I've been trying some various bacon products, like bacon jerky and candied bacon. And I'm glad I ordered it, and will be reordering again. In fact, it was so good that I ordered a few other products from Stonewall Kitchen to try. If you love bacon and fine fusion cuisine, then give this delicious jam a try. I don't think you'll regret it. Thanks!
