Works very well
This adapter works very well. I had many old tapes that I had no idea what was on them and no way to view them. This allowed me to play them on our old VCR without any problems.

It broke!
This item broke after only 4 transfers. However, vendor refunded promptly. A similar purchase from another vendor also broke after 4 uses. These inexpensive motorized VHS adapters seem cheaply made. FYI, a used, non-motorized adapter was my solution!

Not good quality
Doesn’t last a month, we started using it about 2 weeks ago and it ate 2 of our tapes, now it’s to late to send it back

Perfect. Works great!
We got this to watch videos my mom had from years ago. Very well made and works perfectly. It does require batteries that do not come with it, just F.Y.I. I highly recommend.

It does work, but
The way I would describe this product is delicate, definitely not robust. The first cassette I inserted after following the directions caused it to jam. At that point I thought I'd have to send it back. I was able to move the parts by hand and get it to move. I then noticed that one of the pins that hold the tape in place was bent. Apparently it didn't lock in place like it should. It didn't break, it is flexible and straightened itself out pretty much. After messing with it a bit and taking the tape in and out a couple times it began to work although did get stuck in the machine once. I was able to pull it out. Since then I have used it on a number of tapes and it works but occasionally/rarely it still jams. Recently the tape got caught in the VCR. Again I was able wiggle it out.I have not tried any others to compare to this one but just be aware it has a lot of plastic parts, some thin and it is not rugged. But since the initial problems it has been working for the most part. You may want to try a different one. However, it is likely they may all come from the same company with different names. Anyway, it does work, but ...
