Square Keyhole Cover Escutcheon 50mm x 50mm + Screws (Polished Brass)

I got this after losing the outside swinging type cover and finding there wasn't really anywhere to re-screw it - the screw holes had broken away into the key hole opening. This plate is much bigger and the 4 corner screw placing is well away from where the last ones were. It's thicker than I expected, weighty and feels and looks like quality. Fitted easily with the screw provided and looks stylish. The slightly larger size of the plate means it hides a multitude of sins underneath so is the well worth the price.

I would give 5 stars but 2 of the chrome screws couldn't be used as they didn't have screwdriver slots !

Dose the job

Having had someone mess up on installing the lock, the original escutcheon wouldn't screw in (as the key hole was too big). This item resolved the wood-butchery issue, however, it became apparent that the draught now coming through the door was unacceptable, so I resorted to riveting the original escutcheon to the new plate. Great quality plate, I have to say.
