2.5kg White Damp Proof Paint - Internal & External Liquid DPM for Water & Vapour Membrane Proofing Applications

Moved in to a new home without a shower over the bath and tiling only halfway up the walls. Paint is ideal as this has sealed the wall above the tiles enabling me to have a bath/shower tap mix installed until I am in a position to convert my bathroom. The paint is pretty thin so I have applied two coats to ensure adequate coverage.

Excellent product, easy to apply

this paint is excellent we used it on a breeze block pond with stone slabs on top it really does work , highly recommend it.

It don’t work

The product is itself should be fine, as I have used these types of paints before (you can clearly smell the latex in the paint suspension). However the main issue here, with reference to the photos, was the quality of the shipping. At some point in time the package has been dropped/kicked/mis-handled in some way causing the lid to momentarily open and then close resulting in some of the paint to be spread inside the bag. Thankfully the bag captured 99% of the spill, but some was starting to leak through a hole. I have received paints from other suppliers in the past, and one of the key tasks to be done is to ensure the lid of the paint will not come off during transit. Even if the paint can is in a bag, it will not prevent this from happening unless the lid is firmly and securely tapped both around the entire circumference of the tin/lid and over the top of the lid several times with a suitable packing tape. I would not mind unwrapping the tape once received rather than getting my hands covered in paint while trying to clean up the spill. The supplier should adopt this or a similar practice to prevent spillages in the future for other customers.

I purchased this item to seal the interior wall from damp from the outside . I was pleased with the results.
