Almost the best calipers for the $$
I'm a journeyman machinist, so maybe more picky than I should be. I can tell you this is a very accurate instrument, if used correctly, that is, don't expect to have an accurate measurement if you push too hard on the caliper when doing OD measurements, or have it at at even a slight angle when measuring a shoulder, or depth. I ran tests on my precision blocks, and 1, 1.5, 2.0 cylinders. It was within .0005-.001 accuracy. I didn't deduct a star but what I didn't like about this caliper is it only went up to 5.940", not 6+ inch range. I had to carefully mark the holding screw at the back, then grind a flat, then reinstall it to allow the caliper body to go back far enough to measure 6+ inches. I can do that but other users may have trouble if they're not machinists used to handling 2mm diameter threaded screws. This caliper doesn't display fractions, like others such as the Qfun seller. Not an issue for me but some may want this capability. But overall it is a nice caliper with all the numbers being large, not just the first couple numbers, then the rest of the reading has small numbers, like some calipers display. Also, the battery is easy to install, when needing replacement (they supply two, one in it, and another when needing replacing). Some calipers require a screwdriver to remove a cover.....deal breaker for me. I like the individual buttons on the front, not under the display face bezel. The dual/trio function calipers that have the on/off/zero are OK but you have to toggle through the button presses to get to what you want to do. So I give this a high mark, almost equal to my Qfun, and Acemeters, and slightly better than my $100+ Mitutoyos. Wait a second....Mitutoyos score lower? Yes. The display on mitutoyos are smaller than these or my other favorites. In odd measurement conditions, you need the largest display possible. Second, mitutoyos never turn off, unless you shut them off. If you forget and leave them on, then you need a new battery. This and my other calipers auto-turn off BUT, they keep the last setting, so you don't lose a reading or if you locked the caliper in place at a certain reading. If it shuts off, you just hit the on button and it'll display the exact reading last entered. Overall a nice unit, well worth the money.

Low price for high quality. They are very worth it.
I have used this item for close to a year now. Still Zeros out every time. With repeatable results. This comes.with 2 extra battery and a hard case to place and store it safely away. Reads in mm. And half of a tenth of a thousands of a inch. This is my 6th pair of calipers and so far it's looking like the last pair I need.

Good calipers. Case works well with a couple simple modifications
The locking thumb screw on top is particularly handy: I will often take a measurement of a small piece (requiring two hands), then lock the reading and take a photo with my phone for my notes later. The case is nice, but didn't hold the calipers as securely as I'd like. I also didn't like the spare batteries rattling around in there, so I took the larger foam square from the bottom right, lightly scored it repeatedly with a razor until it was cut cleanly in half and moved it up to hold the calipers better and slipped the other spare battery in the space that remained. I did similar for the screwdriver. I only wish there was some kind of pocket for the instructions, because I like to keep those. Even a place to pinch them in like on the inside of a DVD/Blu-ray case would be nice.

IP54 Splash Proof Digital Caliper
Purchased and received this IP54 digital caliper. Upon opening I did a quick check to make sure everything was working and if I had any questions. So far so good. I checked the accuracy and found it to be quite accurate ... as accurate as I will need. This is very good construction and easy to keep clean, which is very important. Periodically it would be a good idea to wipe it down with a soft, clean rag especially prior to making your measurements. I found the battery location very easy to open/close and to change the battery. Make sure the + is against the holder and the - is facing up. Two extra batteries come with the caliper in addition to the one that is already installed. If you want more spare batteries my unit uses Lithium Battery 3v CR1632. I highly recommend this caliper.

Great product would buy again!
These things worked great! I spent a few years in a lab and calibrated/ used a lot of these and I think these are great quality for the price. Would buy again! Crazy how long I went without a set. Makes figuring out everything from dowels, threads, hole diameters super easy.

handle carefully.
Super-cheap, surprisingly high quality. Very sensitive buttons. Handle carefully.

Well made heavy caliper
Picked this up for various uses around the shop including measuring tubing diameter, overall length, and inside diameter of bearings and bushings. Works well, seems to be very accurate, reads in metric and standard measurements, and allows for taking measurements several different ways. Measurements are marked clearly on the shaft as well as a clear digital readout. The case is a cheaper plastic case, but the interior foam holds the micrometer securely and keeps it from bouncing around inside. Mine came with a screwdriver for changing the battery and also 2 spare batteries.Mine measured a full 6.05 inches at max range.
