My wife is a teacher and likes using these in her classroom so I thought it would be good for our kid as well since she's already well versed in using. We have the counting rods already from another set that go well with some of these mats which is nice. The quality is ok and I like the concept for helping our boy get ahead.

I ordered these Cuisenaire Rod Workspace Trays with a family 4-year-old in mind. When I opened the box and started reading the instruction booklet, I realized that the 5 yrs + age guidance set forth by the company is right. I think that our 4-year-old probably won't have the ability to focus enough on these activities for another year or two. However, the trays and cards are very durable and the number of fun games that can be played with them could keep a kid happily learning math in a subtle way for hours. I also ordered a different set that contains the rods, because this set does not include any. I'm looking forward to sitting down with our little one and working through these games with her when she gets just a bit older.

This set of trays really works exactly as it is advertised, with a clear "window-like" base and insertable cards. The edge of the tray is raised around the outside, allowing you to place rods, counters, or some sort of math manipulative over the squares. Please note it does NOT come with any sort of counters, but this is within the product description too. It does come with a few varied cards depending on the activity you are doing, and all can be nicely and easily stored within each tray, and each tray has its own full set of cards. The trays can also be stacked up so as not to take up a bunch of room in your classroom or home-learning environment!

I use these along with some rods to help my daughter learn math this year. I use these when I was a kid and it was fun to return to that nostalgia while trying to teach her too.These are good quality and well made. A very good value for what you get.

My daughter learns best with manipulative. This has been perfect for learning at home. It is a set of 6 trays and activity mats along with rods. The rods are a classic math manipulative that help children visualize and understand mathematical concepts. With the workspace trays and activity mats, organizing and exploring these rods has become easy and fun for my daughter! The trays are versatile and can be used in various activities. From building and comparing fractions to exploring number patterns! The trays are made with high-quality materials, ensuring durability for long-term use.

These trays are well made and indoors a number of double-sided cards for use in teaching numerous number- and math-related subjects like addition, subtraction, and even fractions.I misunderstood the listing and thought that this was a complete set including the counting rods. It is not and those need to be purchased separately. The trays do come with instructions (in several languages) with clear diagrams and explanations how to use these trays with the rods to explain the concepts. I definitely will get the rods to complete this as I can see it is a useful tool for young learners. I can see it especially useful for homeschooling, particularly if you have multiple children as you get 6 trays.

The media could not be loaded.  This set is best used with hand2mind Cuisenaire Rods Early Math Activity Set. These are additional trays to use for multiple students. This set includes six trays and inserts as well as an activity booklet. I do recommend also going to hand2mind website for additional free learning resources. In this set, students can learn skills such as counting, fractions, ratio and area, patterns, etc. It is an excellent tool to keep kids' hands moving while learning.

Personnellement, je trouve que ces jeux abordables dès 5 ans, avant, c'est tôt je pense. Donc à partir de la GS de maternelle.

This is a great educational resource for teaching maths. Ideal for home educators and classrooms, it’s a bit of a dry resource for people with kids. Great build quality, this will withstand quite a few uses. I would recommend.
