Great device, attracts and traps insects, especially in a darkened room.
It works well to attract and kill small insects without using any poisons. It is quiet and mostly maintenance free, and works well if your house gets dark enough at night so that the trap is the biggest light in the room. I would recommend they remove the on/off switch, as it is unnecessary, and just makes it so you have to find the switch to turn it on after you plug it in, and the switch is a small button the same color as the plastic body of the device, making it hard to locate. If you want it off, just unplug it, that would be the simpler solution.

worth the price
This worked really well. It was sticky enough and caught many of the pesky bugs. It didn't at first but I believe that it was just the area where I placed it. I didn't noticed any sort of smell from it which is nice. It was easy to install and has lasted for a good while before I had to replace the sticky trap on it. Definitely feel that it is worth getting.

Solid product. A few advantages/disadvantages.
Kept getting buzzed by fruit flies while doing the dishes. Set out a homemade soap and vinegar trap, caught a half-dozen, but they kept coming. Ended up buying this product and a "professional" vinegar trap, figuring I'd do a side-by-side comparison. The light trap wasn't quite as effective as vinegar, but it did catch a couple of dozen flies in six hours (I had no idea there were THAT many) without smelling up the house, and the blue night light is a nice aesthetic addition to the kitchen as long as you don't to closely at it and see all the dead bugs. Most importantly, however, between the two products, I was fly free by the next morning.

It works for me
I keep a fair amount of fruit in my home, and with fruit comes fruit flies. I usually use the homemade methods but grew tired of smelling ACV and wanted to try one of these plug in devices. I happen to catch a great deal on this one yesterday and gave it a try. I was frustrated initially because it didn't attract any on yesterday when I plugged it in. When I woke up this morning, there were three stuck to it. I think it may work better during the nighttime because, the light is so very bright on the thing and the pad is extra sticky, the gnats don't really stand a chance trying to do their gnaty deeds. I can't speak to actual house files and other insects because I only have gnats and this thing works very well, for me.

Okay for light fruit-fly duty, but not the bug-zapping hero I hoped for
I bought the STEM Flying Insect Trap Indoor about three weeks ago mainly for the annoying little gnats and fruit flies that show up in my kitchen every summer. It arrived quickly, looks pretty sleek and modern on the countertop (doesn’t scream “bug killer”), and was dead simple to set up—just plug in and flip the switch. The UV light definitely pulls in the tiny stuff. I’ve emptied the tray a few times and each time there were 15–25 gnats and fruit flies stuck to the glue pad. That part feels satisfying. It runs super quiet too, so I can leave it on 24/7 without it driving me crazy. Here’s the “but”… it’s honestly mediocre at everything else. Houseflies and bigger flying pests mostly ignore it. Mosquitoes? Zero interest. The trap only seems to cover about a 6–8 foot radius, so in anything bigger than a small kitchen you’d need two or three. The sticky pads fill up fast if you actually have a decent bug problem, and the replacement packs are surprisingly pricey for what they are. After the first 10 days the catch rate dropped noticeably even with fresh pads. Bottom line: if you’ve got a mild fruit-fly situation and just want something low-effort and decent-looking, this will do the job and you’ll probably be satisfied. If you’re battling a real infestation or want something that handles mosquitoes and bigger flies, keep shopping. It works… just not great. Three stars feels fair.

Worked great getting rid of fruit flies
I had a lot of fruit flies in my house that were growing on a plant somebody gave me, but even after getting rid of the plant I could not get rid of the flies. After a couple of days of having this trap on, all the flies were gone and I was impressed. The blue insert was pretty full and nasty but it was a relieve having it since the flies were driving me crazy. Now I keep this just in case I get undesirable insects in my house again.

Works Well
This really works well to catch insects in a room. Has stickers on both sides - so catches insects on both sides. Easy to set up and use. Love the blue light as well. Highly recommend. Worth the money. We have tried apple cider vinegar with dish soap and other home remedies without good results. The Stem Flying insect Trap is the best for catching insects in your home.

Great product
4 stars because of price and that the package says something like 1 "refill" but it's literally just telling you that it has the one sticky trap in it that it comes with not that it has the sticky trap plus an additional. However, these suckers do work really well! I've even had a few spiders crawl themselves up on there. I like the product so well I went ahead and purchased a second one (one is from Amazon one is from Walmart) both are the "nightlight style" wall plugs plus of course replacement sticky pads inserts. This is a product I will probably continue to buy seeing as it works so well and bonus points it doesn't look bad either and easy to change
