Makita drill on point
Makita drill is on point. Works excellent of course, is tough and very powerful for driving or drilling. Nice ergonomic grip and not too light but allso not too heavy, just solid. I've used it extensively and is one of my go to tools when building things. This is tool only so have a battery on handle or you will have to buy a battery. This does not drain battery life too much either. Just runs and runs.

Makita for the Win!
Wow, what an upgrade. I purchased this to replace the similar model drill that I purchased about 10-15 years ago. The 18V batteries from the old model fit into this one, but the drill is a major upgrade. This version is slightly smaller in design than the old version, but packs more power. I've also found that the battery life is better, but that could be due to the variability in what I'm using it for. This version also comes with a "hammer drill" setting that the old model didn't have. While it isn't as effective as an actual hammer drill, it does help on those finer projects that you don't want maximum hammer drill functionality on.

Solid cordless Drill
Replacing my 15 year old Makita, the difference is insane. Love the solid feel of the unit, metal chuck is a huge improvement from my old drill. The clutch selection moves nicely between settings. Tons of torque. Also very compact which is really handy. Here’s to another 15 years!

Massive torque
This thing is a total beast. It’s a little heavy, but it has wrist bending torque. I’m a huge Makita fan and this didn’t disappoint.

UPGRADED even though my ten year old Makita was still working! This is the BOMB!
My ten year old Makita XPH06Z still worked fine, except that the 2nd gear speed would slip. I need that extra speed to whip up my mud or thinset really good. I do a lot of remodels. So I upgraded. Am I glad that I did! The NEW BL motor is so much better than my first generation motor. The TOUCH of the new unit is amazing. You can feather the trigger, under tension, to slowly turn whatever it is you are driving. In or out. The first gen would just take off on you at higher rpm's than you wanted. This thing does exactly as you wish. It is AMAZING. So like if you want to torque off an old nut but you are afraid shearing the bolt, you can tap tap to micro torque it and it will torque as slow and with power. I cannot say enough about this unit. Worth going for the best model they offer. Absolutely. And considering my last BL lasted ten years and is still going, this is a worthwhile investment hands down!

BEWARE
This thing WILL break your wrist if you're not careful. You WILL get injured. It's got a TON of torque.... much more than the typical person needs. I bought it to mix concrete. It eats 18v batteries very quickly when mixing concrete because of the amount of power, but I love it. I just have to be careful because it wants to spin and if you're not careful, it'll either hit you, spin your concrete bucket or twist your wrist.
