Fantastic gift! Absolutely perfect knife.
I have been using a Civivi Elementum with a liner lock for some time now. It's one of my favorite folding knives that I've ever owned.I was putting together a couch-side, keychain-based, tool-set for that special someone in my life. I'm very romantic. She's not really into knives... at all. So I almost got her a folding utility knife as the main blade on the set. Then I saw they had this button lock model in the donut color-scheme. She has arthritis and a fingernail... hobby/passion/obsession. I have also observed that she enjoys things that are ... "cute".I wanted to get her something really easy to open and really easy to close. The liner-locks were out because it could be hard to use with the long nails, not to mention the arthritis. So I splurged and got her this knife because it was smaller and "cuter" than the Milwaukee Fastbacks. She loves it. Absolutely loves it. It was a great purchase. She has expressed a real appreciation for it. Some time ago I gave her a $100 Buck folding knife I had sitting around and she was not as impressed by that. The Buck is much thicker, better steel, has a much better grip, and is USA made. But it's just too hard for her to close and I guess it's not "pretty" enough.Well, this was absolutely the right knife for that particular tool-set. It works perfectly and helps make the tool-set more "cute".

This is awesome
The media could not be loaded. Arrived in perfect shape. It’s a little stiff out of the box but a little fidgeting with it and a drop of oil it gets smoother. The button does rub against the coating on the blade a little so it’s not as drop shutty as my other ones but still works good enough with a little flick most of the time. It seems grippy enough. And it looks like they did a really quality job on the detail on it. I’ll update on long-term usage how well it holds the finish but it seems pretty durable. It’s just a light use knife for me. I would say it’s a 4 star knife with a 6 star attention to detail and design. I’ll give it 5 because I bought it for the looks not just the knife, but the knife isn’t bad at all. I could probably make it a lot smoother, but I don’t want to scratch the colored screws taking it apart, it works good enough for what it is. It opens and closes smooth enough, just a little stick coming from the coating rubbing the button, but nothing unbearable. Hopefully it will just wear in. I still love it.Update: it takes a little while to wear in but it’s a lot more drop shut now, and the blade coating has held up great. Just been using it to cut random stuff nothing heavy duty but no scratches at all on it. The coating seems to be pretty good.

Excellent knife.
If you can get your hands on this knife, do it. Excellent knife. Came sharp, opens nice. Love the button lock. Great discussion piece. Carried it everyday since I got it about a year ago.

A fun conversation piece
If you wanna get into the “dessert warrior“ thing this is a fine way to do it. I’m not a fan of the plunge-lock, but the knife is well-made and Nitro-V steel is pretty tough and reasonable to maintain. Might take a little breaking in before you can reliably flick it open and closed.

The Perfect EDC.
First of all, CIVIVI is a very reputable knife brand, I would recommend any of their products to anybody looking for supreme quality knives. As always, I am very impressed and pleased with the quality of the item I purchased, everything listed was included, and it comes with a *very* sharp edge, so be careful not to hurt yourself or others. The Elementum II is one of CIVIVI's best when it comes to EDC (Every Day Carry), and this particular piece is great for any collection.Overall, if you're thinking of dropping $70 dollars on a folding knife, the Elementum II is a very safe choice, especially from this brand which has pretty good warranty policies.

Great knife
Got it as a present for my daughter. Really love the knife! Craftsmanship is great, action is great. Fidgety. I personally prefer washers, but again this knife wasn't purchased for me. Overall cool beans, now I am thinking about maybe buying me one.
