I bought this watch a year ago as a holiday gift for myself. I have a similar casio gschock (dark blue) that was my regular watch for years, but had been through some wear and tear, so I decided to buy a new one and keep the old one as a backup.Watch came in great condition brand new inside a typical gshock metal watch can (?? don't know what you call it) that you would get if you were to buy retail. Manual too that gives you good instructions on the watches functions and how to use them. Stopwatch, timer, military clock ( if that's your preference), waterproof and backlight all worked. Plus I got it on sale, which is worth it for a watch like this.However, there are def are flaws with this type of gshock that I experienced with my older one that you will most likely experience with this one:1. The strap holder is plastic and, for me at least, didn't last more than 3 years before the thing broke, leaving the strap itself free. The problem with this, too, is if the strap is free, either due to the strap holder breaking or due to laziness from not using the strap holder correctly, the strap itself will snap right off eventually due to friction. (This happened to me). Then you're forced to buy a whole new band (which is a hassle). Imagine you buy the watch and the band breaks, and then you have to try to find a replacement band that matches your watches color. If you can't find the same one, you most likely have to use a different color band than the watch itself, which I did because trying to find the exact blue of my watch was way too much of a hassle. These casios would fare much better with a metal strap holder. It's a $100 dollar watch come on.2. Reading the time on this watch can be difficult at times. A majority of the time I can read the time fine, but some times, due to certain lighting, it becomes hard to read the time without the backlight.3. I haven't experienced this with this watch yet, but I've def experienced this with my last casio gshock in that the side buttons become harder to press. Currently, the buttons on this are easy to press (I've only had it a year), but eventually I've noticed that the Adjust and Mode buttons get stuck trhough wear and tear. I think this has to due to possible different elements (sand, salt water, dirt etc) getting into the buttons and causing them to stick. Eventually I had to use a pen or pencil on the older casio gshock to do any adjustments or change the modes, which eh not that bad. Stop watch and time still work great.All in all, just one year from purchase, this watch is going strong. I've been wearing it everyday for about 6 months with the other 6 wearing my apple watch. I'd say this watch should last you a long time, but I think if you were wearing it everyday for a 1 to a 1+ year you might run into issues with the strap holder breaking, which will lead to the band breaking. However, band is very much replaceable but a hassle trying to find the same color. But if you care more about functionality than looks, then it's not that bad. 4/5 stars because it looks great, great for everyday use, waterproof, and parts are easy to replace. 1 star off because it's hard to read some times.

I love the function and style of this watch. It’s my new work watch. Needs to be tough and rugged. Nailed it!!!!

I bought this watch for my son. He wears it to work and out in the field. He is typically rough on watches. But, this one has held up very well so far.

This same watch is at least $50 more in jewlery stores. When I saw the price I had to get it. The timer function works great. You can set alarms this way. It is not water proof but was fine when I splashed water on it washing my hands. The numbers are easy to read. Overall a great purchase.
