This is a unisex journal, it's not gender specific.
At the time of writing this review the journal was being marketed as a man's journal. In my view this is plain silly because there is nothing in it that relates specifically to men. The journal can be used perfectly adequately by either gender.Speaking as a person who regularly journals, I have to say I like this journal. It's good quality and the daily question is well-thought-out. Most importantly, it won't take long to fill in each day, I'd say ten minutes maximum, making it easy to stick to.It doesn't say how long the journal lasts. At a very rough count flicking through the pages I'd say six months, but this is an estimate from me. The size isn't too big, so it's very portable and can be slipped into a bag or suitcase with ease. It's laid out in three stages. In summary, stage one is to get the user used to capturing and recording thoughts. Stage two opens up creativity and helps identify strengths and areas for improvement. Stage three allows for reflections and defining new life goals.I find journaling really helps me stay focused, be grateful for what I have, and helps me aim for my future goals. I've just completed my last 90-day journal, so this one has come to me just at the right time. I (as a woman) am really looking forward to beginning this journal in the new year. I'm excited to see the voyage of discovery it takes me on.

Not just for men!
This is a very nice journal is a soft grey colour. It is designed more as a self care and emotional well being tool than a diary. Each double page feels very doable with small manageable question prompts to get you thinking. There are 1 to 10 tick scales to monitor your current mood and inspirational quotes and messages throughout. I like the fact that the journal isn’t dated so there is no pressure to fill it in every day. You can dip in and out when you feel the need/have the time.I have given this to my eldest child who is currently navigating university as an introverted person and finding it quite challenging. I am hoping that this will be a gentle tool that he can use to help him cope with all that is being brown at him emotionally and socially.I have dropped a star for this as I can’t see for the life of me why this is being marketed as a journal for men. Not all girls want a pink glittery flowery journal. The understated nature of this product should appeal to many, regardless of gender.

This is AWESOME - but why just recommended for MEN ???? Its useful for everyone !!
I love this - its a kind of emotional daily check-in journal combined with some daily planning and aspirational goaling. Set out in a nice, easy format, the book itself is a light grey colour and very classy. Everyday you have to rate your mood in the morning, priority of the day and what you are grateful for. Later in the day its asking for you to track your win of the day and points of stress or tension. Lots of opportunity to reflect - more guided at the beginning and more open reflection towards the end of the book. Such an awesome tool for a stressful life - in any sphere of career or life in general. I'm a fan. And I'm a WOMAN (still dont' understand why it say's for MEN in the sales title !!!)

An excellent inspirational journal
This was wrapped and given as a present to a 15-year old boy. He tried to guess what it was before opening it, concluding that it was a book. His eyes lit up when he discovered it was no ordinary book but a journal and could not hide his delight that it wasn't a book! Previously, we had carefully examined the content and felt that it might be ideal in helping him at this point in his life, when he is confronted with many choices and decisions. It is not a cheap product but the potential pay-back in terms of his onward journey through life could justify the expense.

A great unisex journal
I am a girly girl who loves feminine touches but I love this muted unisex style mindset journal. I always feel that anything to do with mental health lends itself to muted, quieter tones that don’t fight your eyes and create sensory overload. The colour is stated as grey but it is actually a really lovely grey blue. The journal works in 3 stages throughout and each stage slightly reduces the formality of the journaling prompts on the right hand side as you become more experienced. I love that the left hand side prompts remain consistent throughout.I am not normally a fan of things being undated but, in this case, I like that this gives you the fluidity to not feel pressured to journal daily but work on it as needed when needed.

Somewhat mixed
This is a somewhat mixed journal. There are two facing pages - the left hand page has space for short entries - a simple mark your current feeling from 1 to 10 at the start of the day, your priority for the day, something you are grateful for, and then for the end of the day, your "win from the day", and "point of tension, tension or anxiety". So far so good. But then...At the bottom of the left hand pages there are Stoic quotes, quite a lot of which are utterly fake or inaccurate (I'm actually quite knowledgeable about the Stoic literature) - the intro claims these have been "carefully selected" (read: "got by an internet search without doing any proper research whatsoever").The right hand pages give more space for more expansive writing - they are headed with a theme to write about. I find many of these a bit odd though, especially as this journal is supposed to be designed to get past the "intimidation of a blank page" by starting off simply and "help you become comfortable by capturing your thoughts". So we get things like "make your goals 10x bigger" - so not very intimidating at all then... And "describe your ideal day" so that you have "a goal to move towards" - given that my ideal day might involve waking up next to Liv Tyler and as a consequence probably never getting out of bed, it's neither exactly a realistic goal nor one which leads to self-improvement...At the bottom of the right hand pages are "affirmations", which are very much a snake oil of the self-help world. The pages are not numbered but my attempt to count them came up with about 118 days' worth of entries, so well below enough for a whole year if you want to journal daily, which makes this rather expensive for what it is.
