A great way to improve sight reading skills.
This is a perfect companion book to use with the other books in this series. Helps to increase sight reading skills.

Very positive first impressions. It looks as if this series will be incorporated into my preferred teaching materials.
I am new to this series but I am a FIRM believer of Sight Reading exercises for my piano students. "Sightreading" by Kjos West was my past favorite but I believe those volumes are out of print. I have started this series with 3 students, one at level 1 and 2 in Level 2B and 3A (preordered). I LIKE the series. For young students, the drawings are cute and the little written exercises on many of the pages are useful and good reinforcement. So far, my students seem to like the books and I am looking forward to reviewing other volumes. The skills taught are progressive and logical and just a few minutes a day is needed to accomplish the lessons for that day. I would love to be on the mailing list for "samples" by this publisher...but don't know how to accomplish that. Anyway, all in all...a very good series and I expect that I will be adopting it for all of my students.

We all like Piano adventure more
My son used Bastien piano basic in the beginning when he was 3. A few months later after he finished level 1B, he transferred to Piano adventure (Lesson, Theory, Performance, Technic & Sight-reading), because his piano teacher was using it. It's well organized. We all like Piano adventure more, and my son loves to do theory book the most. His teacher teaches him Suzuki level 2 at the same time. Now he is almost 4 and half, he finishes Level 2A , half of Level 2B and half of Suzuki 2. I am going to buy Piano adventure Level 3A.

Beautiful music
My toes don’t quite stretch far enough to hit all the keys with book. The range is a bit too wide. I also attempted to play with my nose and tongue simultaneously, but could read my music at the same time. Nevertheless , it played fine with my fingers. It’s a good book.
