Total Game Changer
I almost never write reviews for things. But I absolutely will for this- I have a beagle/sheltie/terrier mix who is 6 and has had severe leash aggression for years. Would absolutely lose her doggo mind when we're out walking and come upon other dogs- barking, lunging, all of it. I happened to see this in a training video I saw on youtube recently and thought I'd give it a try. She plays fine with other dogs at the dog park (the frustration/aggression has only been on-leash), so I took her there first to get her really tired out, then practiced walking on leash on trails near the park where other people were also walking their dogs. TWICE was all it took with this product to completely distract her out of her aggressive mental state. You do have to make sure to get the timing right- I know the signs of her gearing up to bark and lunge at other dogs walking by, so when we went by test subject #1 , as soon as she pricked her ears up and started putting tension on the leash I voiced a loud "NO", followed by a puff aimed at her shoulders. She immediately forgot about the nearby dog and stared up at me like "what the HECK was that?!"We went around and around the path and the second time we came across another dog I said NO again and this time just sprayed the air, but she knew the sound. Again, immediately stopped reacting and started only paying attention to me, for which she was awarded with lots of praise super tasty treats. For the rest of the walk she was super calm, and paid attention to me the entire time with that tongue-out doggy smile and tail wagging, and she couldn't care less about the other dogs walking by. When we came upon more dogs we would just practice sitting and laying down until they passed by, and she'd get more treats for being good. When she does need a correction, "NO" is starting to work just as well. It's been less than a week and now when we've walked around the neighborhood (in daylight for the first time in ages) she is walking nicely and watching me. I've had the convincer tool with me, but haven't had to use it. I just keep making sure to reinforce her with treats now when she's being good in the presence of other dogs.I highly recommend this tool, but I would say that it works best when you use it in conjunction with positive reinforcement (praise and high-value treats) as soon as they stop the bad behavior and do the "good" behavior.

Stopped working after 2 months of use
The product was great and worked for training our dog and to keep other off-leash dogs away from us on walks. Unfortunately, the product broke after two months of regular use. The trigger is now stuck making so that every time we try to put in a new cartridge, the air cartridge discharges instantly. Of course, now the Amazon "return window" has closed so I'm stuck with a $27 useless piece of junk. If the product works, it's a very helpful training tool, unfortunately, its poorly manufactured, making it an expensive product for 2 months of use. Save your money and go elsewhere!

Very effective for certain kinds of dogs and particular behaviors
This is a preliminary review. I will come back and update it once I see consistent results.Firstly, an important note on usage.Remark: Don't overuse/abuse the product. This should be used only in scenarios where your dog has lost focus and you know you cant get its attention by words or leash correction. If your dog is looking at you and misbehaving, then using this will only make them trust you less. Use other methods to correct such behaviors.Part 1:-My dog is very anxious/nervous-aggressive; highly obedient inside the house but extremely leash reactive. Doesn't pay attention in presence of distractions. Has good food drive, but does not care when there is some distraction. As a consequence positive-reward based training was a mostly useless. Even things like prong-collar didn't grab her attention for a long time although she was less anxious and paid more attention in general; she would look for couple of seconds and check out. The pet convincer on the other hand worked like a charm the very first session.3 shots:once for almost barking at a dog that was minding its business.once for losing focus when some other dog was barking.once for almost running to a stranger without prompt from them or my permission. After that, she didn't try any of those acts for the remaining ~30 mins of walk, even though she came across other people and dogs. Frequently looked at me on the walk in almost perfect heel, without any prompts or leash correction. This might have been a one-time reaction since she has never felt something like this before. So I will come back and update the long term changes in my dog's behavior.
