This book was a lot thinner than I expected. Though the readings seem easy, they are actually kind of tricky. My 8th graders love them! They are easy enough for my struggling readers to read, but difficult enough to challenge my higher students. Each reading requires students to state where they got their answers, which aligns with the CCSS RL 1

I thought I was buying a jigsaw puzzle, it is more like a school workxbook.

Deceivingly challenging puzzles which require inference skills and attention to detail. Increasing difficulty as you progress through the book. Well-written and engaging exercises.
