my husband loved this curry but we were unable to get it from our local shops and supermarket

It’s an old favourite from years past! I always buy it for my dad he loves them! But I will say I think they are quite expensive.

I know it's a fake curry with bits of soy and the rice is a hard as horsehoes but it's quick, easy, cheap-ish and tastes like the 70's when it was a rare delight. Makes me feel guilty, slightly embarrassed but happy for a few short moments before life starts kicking back in.

Blimey...spot the "meat" competition...there were 9 small bits in amongst the sauce, nothing like the photo on the box or like it was back in the 80's beef wise.The sauce is still pretty authentic and it still has the bullet peas...so not all nostalgia lost.I bought a pack of 3 so will still make the other 2 and hope there is more beef next time

What have they done to this product. I have purchased this for a number of years but the last lot were awful. When made up the "sauce" was more like water and had no flavour at all and tasted just like eating a bowl of rice. It was so bad I complained to the manufacturer thinking it was a dodgy batch. Apparently its their new recipe. I purchased the three pack and ate the first lot thinking I had made a mistake on water quantity. On the second lot I followed the instructions completely but had the same end result so half of it went in the bin. My third box went straight in the bin unopened. If you hanker after the old Vesta Beef Curry don't bother you will be very disappointed. Update. I gave these another try and they are back to their as I remember it taste and consistency. The previous batch were obviously faulty but the manufacturer palmed me off with a change of recipe rubbish. A bit like the chocolate manufacture with new shape bar (10% smaller).

Delivery very quick

I used to love the Beef Curry version, especially the curry sauce and have looked in my supermarket for sometime to buy another packet as its been a long time since i last had one. Without success i found them on amazon so bought 4 of them and have tried them once again.....however i found that the manufacturers have changed the recipe of the sauce and it is not as good as the original sauce was, in my opinion. So much so that when i've finished the 3 other packets i won't be re-ordering...such a pity as i said i 'loved' them before but not so much now....Please manufacturer please return to the original recipe.
