Looks cool!
I was surprised at how strongly this yarn glows. It doesn't even take that much "charging" to get a really good glow. It's made up of some strands of regular yarn and some strands of glow-in-the-dark material. The glow-in-the-dark part takes away some of the softness of the yarn, but it's not too bad. I didn't have much trouble with the yarn splitting while I was working with it, but my loose ends/tails did separate quite a bit and it was somewhat of a struggle to get the tapestry needle threaded to weave in my ends. Other than that, it was pretty easy to work with. I'm looking forward to making more glow-in-the-dark things!

These are small rolls not the large size at stores
Just wanted to give a photo for those new to buying yarn

Cute but not super soft
Love the idea of this and how they glow but the material isn't very soft so don't plan on making blankets with these yarns. If anything it's more amusing to use this yarn for making stuffed animals

Small Skeins But Great Value for Glow-In-The-Dark Yarn
For 800 yards of yarn with a variety of colors that can glow in the dark, this is a pretty good deal. However, these are mini-skeins and it will take several or more of these skeins for most projects. So keep this in mind when ordering - if you want to stay with the same color, you may need to order a bunch of sets! For smaller projects - especially if you were knitting stuffed toys - these are the perfect size for making a variety of colored items. The glow effect works pretty well. If you expose the yarn to bright light or sunlight for at least 15 minutes it will glow in dark conditions. This lasts for up to about an hour, though the brightness of the glow tapers off quite a bit as time passes. You can barely see the effect after about an hour. The brightness varies depending on the color of yarn, with lighter colors seemingly brighter when they glow. The material is very soft yet very strong, it seems easy to work with. This is fine yarn, so it will work best with 2.2mm to 3mm hooks. The colors are rich and bright. In the product description, they give advice on how much yarn you may need depending on project. This would have been a good chart to include with the yarn, I'm surprised they didn't.Overall, I'm pretty pleased with this product. I actually intend to give this as a gift to someone I know who also crochets and I can't wait to see what she makes with it!!

Great idea, but it doesn’t glow that well
I love the idea of glow in the dark yarns and can’t wait to use them to crochet some octopus, ghost, or alien, but these don’t glow well. It doesn’t look like the bright glow from the advertise picture. It dimly glow and all color look the same in the dark. Yarns are soft and color choices are nice if you don’t think of them as glow in the dark yarn. A little disappointed.

Small amount of yarn and glow
It's alright. The skeins are smaller than I thought they'd be. and only half of the strand itself glows, I think the picture on the listing is a little misleading. It's definitely still fun yarn, but doesn't hold much of a glow unless you charge it with a blacklight. I've seen larger amounts of glow yarn cheaper elsewhere, and where the whole strand glows rather than just one half of the spiraling color. This will be cute for smaller craft projects, unfortunately I thought it came with more so I was planning to use for something larger and now realize that won't really work out.

Perfect for glowing amigurumi!
It’s yarn! It absolutely glows after being exposed to UV light! I admit that I used a UV flashlight instead of actual sunlight, but there’s no reason to believe it wouldn’t work either way.The skeins are perfect for amigurumi and similar small projects, which is what I plan to use them for. The yarn strand is skinnier than I realized when I ordered, but the fault is my own, and they do appear perfect for 2-3mm crochet hooks. The material is slightly rougher than normal yarn, which is not surprising given their special glow effect. I would not use this as the base material for garments, though it could still be used for decorations on garments without issue, except maybe for where cleaning them is concerned. The yarn comes with care instructions that specify not to use detergents. With that in mind, perhaps removable decorations on garments would be the best method if that’s what you have in mind. For my part, I’m planning to use this to crochet some ghost-type Pokemon dolls for my kids, and I think it will be perfect.

The glow could be stronger.
I placed this package of glow-in-the-dark yarn in the window all day today to charge it up.Then we took it into a dark bathroom for a photo shoot. These photos were taken with a long exposure. What's captured here is what the yarn would ideally look like. The actual glow is quite a bit weaker. You'd need quite a bit of this yarn to make even a decent-sized hat.You could twine it with a less expensive yarn, but then that would dilute the glow, and there's also the possibility of the care needs changing.
