After flipping out of a traditional rope hammock with spreader bars I realized I needed something better. Flipping out of a hammock is fast and scary and the risk of injury is very real. I researched and I found that Rada hammocks had the best reviews all over the internet and flipping is not an issue.I was worried that my hammock stand would not work because the stand did not have the 'half moon' curved pieces at each end for the hammock strings to go over before attaching further down the stand. I have a 15' hammock stand, measured from end to end. It turns out this hammock fits great. If you have a stand that is less than 15' long from end to end you should have the curved half moon metal pieces at each end. I added a few .89 cent hardware pieces to connect the hammock to the chain on my stand and I did it all myself (I'm not usually a handy person). See the photo for details. These also make it easy to remove the hammock and bring it inside during periods of inactivity or bad weather.I cannot put into words how much I love this hammock. It is so comfortable which is not something I can say about the rope hammock I had previously, it's beautiful, and most importantlhy I have never come close to flipping out of it. I've had many of these, I leave them out in the sun and sprinklers and they last years, if I took care of mine better I'm sure I wouldn't have needed to replace them. My 3 kids have sat in it, super durable, great quality and so comfortable!!!

I LOVE this hammock. We vacationed in Belize last year and I spent a lot of time in the hammock on the porch of our bungalow. I wanted one for home, and went searching for a hand woven one like I used in Belize. So glad I found this; it is beautiful and I like supporting local artisans. I got the 'marital' size because I didn't like any of the colors available in the single and it is HUGE - much wider and longer than expected so it almost completely surrounds me unless I put my arms out to hold it open, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Because I don't have a place to permanently hang it, I purchased a 9ft hammock stand with the 'Y' shape at the ends (couldn't find a longer one that didn't cost a fortune). The hammock itself is about 13ft long, and I was almost touching the ground with the hooks in the lowest pre-drilled hole so my husband drilled one additional hole on each end of the stand and now it is perfect for me. The hammock is definitely sturdy enough to hold two people, but you would need a bigger stand or to suspend it in a larger space to account for the stretch when occupied.

I loved this hammock for my backyard. The woven aspect of it creates a very comfortable experience with the breeze passing through and what-not. Unfortunately, it is very fragile. I bought 2 of these, first one lasted one summer, initially strings broke one by one creating holes, ultimately it was destroyed by squirrels (I guess collecting the fabric for there nests?). But I liked it a lot so this summer I decided to buy another thinking "I'll take extra good care of it this time, take it in at night, etc." But only about 2 weeks after receiving the strings started breaking, and i thought i was being pretty gentle with it. So ultimately, I returned it for a different hammock. If it wasn't for the fact that it breaks quite easy, this style of hammock would be my choice.

I purchased this hammock for indoor sleeping, rather than outdoor recreation. My low-quality mattress was starting to cause back pain, so I started looking for alternatives that wouldn't break the bank. I remembered spending a few months sleeping in a similar hammock as a kid, and finding it comfortable, so I figured I'd give it a try again.Now, I'd say I sleep about half the time in this. I switch back and forth depending on on whether I want back support or room to stretch out.All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and my back pain is gone!One thing I'd like to note, that's not so much a complaint as it is a heads-up: the loop ends are a little bit larger than expected. I purchased the "Indoor Hammock Hanging Kit By Live Infinitely" to mount the hammock to my walls and found that while I could get the included carabiners onto the hammock, they were too tight to be easily removable without risking damage. So I wound up needing to buy larger carabiners as well in order to hang and take down the hammock easily.This is my advice for carabiners:- Buy ones that are 3" long. 2" (such as those included in the Live Infinitely kit) are just barely too small.- Make sure you get climbing-rated ones. I happened to have some aluminum screw locking ones from LeBeila in my car (for hanging stuff on molle webbing) and tried those. While they worked for a night, I found them stretched and damaged in the morning. I would not trust a second night. I picked up a pair of 10kn-rated 'biners from Rallt and those have worked perfectly.

We bought a hammock in Mexico 12 years ago for our home and love it. I have been looking In stores and online for one just like it and couldn’t never find one for our cottage. It’s hand made and such good quality. We couldn’t be happier with it. I don’t like hammocks made out of cloth material or when they have the wood keeping them spread apart. Nothing compares to these hand made hammocks! It’s woven and you can wrap yourself in it like a cocoon but still see out, our kids love them. We actually bought 2 and have no regrets!
