Great option for home automation DIY-enthusiasts
I am reviewing the product "5V 12V 9V DC 24V Fire Alarm Siren Alarm Horn Sound Flash Light Loud 120dB" on 21 January, 2024. This is a great option for home automation DIY-enthusiasts for a very loud, very attention-getting siren that can be easily tripped using a smart plug under rules and conditions created in your automation system. A pushbutton on the bottom cycles between the seven available sounds, which I have attempted to describe here to give you a general idea. Sound 1 -- rising-falling, repeating 4x each second Sound 2 -- rising, repeating each second Sound 3 -- high-low (like European siren) Sound 4 -- rising-falling repeating 5x each second sound 5 - rising-falling repeating 8x each second sound 6 - rising-falling repeating 9x each second sound 7 - rising-falling repeating 8x each second, lower pitch All of them are quite loud and attention-getting, and are alarm-type sounds, i.e. none are suitable for general annunciation of non-alarm conditions. The alarm requires the addition of a DC power supply in the range of 5 - 24v, which was not included in the package I received. Operation is simple: when power is applied, the siren blares until power is removed. When the siren is active, it is further supported by a flashing array of 8 LEDs at the top, under a red plastic filter. Although the listing describes them as "super bright:", in my judgment they were only of average brightness; I wouldn't expect them to alert a deaf person, for example, as some strobe alarms are intended to do. The unit is inexpensive and fills a specific need fo do-it-yourselfers, and I am happy to give it my recommendation fo this application.

Works like it's supposed to
This Fire Alarm Siren works just like it's supposed to. It's very loud and you can change the alarm to any of 7 different alarms. I use this as a panic alarm...you can hear this all the way down the block. I set it off to let people think I have a burglar alarm. Keeps people away from my house. I like it!
