TOMS Shoes was founded in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie. The shoe is a unique slip-on design comprised of clean lines and lightweight fabrics in vibrant colors and prints. TOMS was founded when Blake was inspired on a trip to Argentina by the traditional, rope-soled Argentine "alpargata." He was struck by the poverty and health issues of the country, and set out to reinvent the alpargata for the U.S. market, and in doing so to accomplish one goal: Making life more comfortable for those without shoes. To realize this purpose, Blake made a commitment to match every pair of TOMS purchased with a donation of a pair to a child in need. It's simple: If you buy a pair of TOMS, the company will give a pair to someone in need on your behalf. During its first year in business, TOMS sold 10,000 pairs of shoes, and Blake returned to Argentina to lead his first annual Shoe Drop during which he donated to the children who had inspired him. TOMS Shoes are now available in multiple colors and fabric combinations for men, women and a recently introduced line for children, aptly titled Tiny TOMS. See more

Swindled by ‘Some Random Seller’
The shoes I received were not up to par compared to Toms I’ve bought in the past. There were messy threads and the heels were super stiff. They were true to size but very uncomfortable. The difference in quality and comfort was more than can be attributed to ‘worn in’ shoes compared to new ones. I don't know if they were knock-offs or not but had to return them.Note: I’ve never questioned the authenticity of any shoes (and I’ve bought a lot!) purchased on Amazon and SOLD by Amazon, Zappos, etc. I purchased these on Amazon, the purchase was fulfilled by Amazon, and even though it was Amazon Prime, the SELLER wasn’t Amazon. In the future I'll use caution when buying something (especially shoes!) that says “Sold by ‘Seller Name’ and Fulfilled by Amazon”. FYI this info is usually shown near the Add to Cart button.

Fake Toms...
So I should have listened to everyone else's reviews but I guess for some reason I thought I would get lucky. Well I was definitely wrong. I received fake Toms. The label and the slogan inside the shoe wasn't even the same. It was honestly upsetting and the soles were not sewn in, they were actually falling out when I received them. If I wanted knock off shoes I could've easily bought them but I love the Toms brand and really thought I was getting a good deal. They came large as well but I threw them in the wash and am just going to wear them since I already spent all that money. However, I would recommend if you really want a pair of Toms shoes, go directly to a store or buy them directly from Toms to avoid anything like this happening.

Fake TOMS
Although these shoes fit well and are comfortable, I have to report that they are FAKE TOMS. Authentic ones are NOT made in China. Please see my picture for reference. I notice the canvas of these shoes feel more stiff-like than another pair of TOMS I have which were made in Vietnam. I guess I will be spending a little more and buying from the TOMS website from now on. Disappointed in Amazon for allowing these fakes to be sold as seemingly authentic :(

yet they looked like Toms. I wondered if they were fakes
So these came too small, different sole, different.... everything... yet they looked like Toms. I wondered if they were fakes. But maybe I just had to break them in again? I stared at the box, it looked legit, even though my old ones didn't come in a box (got them at Urban Outfitters). Something was just off, and too much of it. Then I went online and read the reviews... my hunch was right. These are fakes. I don't know how they were able to manipulate their reviews or how they're still on here, but I'm so glad I caught this in time!

Not sure these are the real deal...
Either the brand has changed in the last 2 years or these are a knockoff. I have the exact same pair that I bought from a local surf shop a couple years ago to wear at work. They're within the dress code and super comfortable, but are getting kind kind of dirty looking - so I ordered these as a replacement. I wore them to work and within the first hour they were cutting into the backs of my ankles and made me bleed - even with no-show socks on as a cushion. I'm so disappointed. The quality of the fabric and insole is nothing like my old pair, and certain small details are missing as well. I will have to wear my old TOMS until my ankles heal, then I will try to break these in and stretch them out by wearing 2 pairs of socks under them.

Too Narrow and Do Not Loosen Up**
Edit: These shoes took FOREVER to loosen up but now that they have, they're my favorite. I recommend getting them a little wet and wearing them until they dry.Original: I wanted to love them so much but they are simply too narrow. I ordered my normal size, an 8, from Sam's Club. They were on sale and couldn't be returned so I have been forcing myself to wear them in an attempt to stretch them. I've worn them for 8 hour work days 4 times and to every shopping trip for a month, they are still just as tight as the day they came out of the box. I've used every trick to widen them (hair dryer, stuff them with socks, a bag of water frozen, etc) and still, they squeeze my toes. So, I ordered 8.5 from here and they're snug on the toes but not painfully so. Now the problem is they're too long and slip off my heel and fold weirdly in the middle when I take a step. I've returned the two pairs ordered here and will continue trying to make the non-refundable pair wearable. Ordered myself some Bob's which look identical but are actually true to size.

Order true size, great shoes!
These are really pretty, they have a heathered look to them and are a lilac purple. At first they are tight but then they fit comfortably, I wear an 8 1/2 I ordered an 8 1/2 and they fit fine. I broke my ankles in a car accident and cannot wear heels anymore, I’ve also been instructed by my doctor to wear orthopedic shoes... instead I wear Tom’s! I have several pairs and love all of them. They look clean and classy with skinny jeans, leggings, dresses, shorts etc. I highly recommend this brand and suggest you to order your actual size, as they loosen up and mold to your feet quite quickly. Ordering a half a size bigger or the next size up will ultimately leave you with a shoe that is too big. Just have patience, it takes a couple dayS to wear them in!

Fit is not as expected - get the next size up.
I ordered 2 pairs of these without realising that one was the “men’s” version and the other the “women’s”. They are the same design but in different colours and the same size UK 7. However that’s where the similarities end. The “womens” version was very narrow. So much so I couldn’t put them on. However the men’s version went on easily. So take note this when choosing the shoe. Essentially the UK 7 in Women’s fitted my friend who is a UK 6 confirming they come up small.

Sizing is very skewed!
I buy alot of skechers and Tom's from my local outlet and have never had an issue with sizing but these I bought in my usual size of 4 and wish I had gone a size up, they were so tight I couldnt even wear them for the evening of my wedding (no party just walking around a park after the photos in my good shoes) and I'm very annoyed about this as during lockdowns haven't been able to go anywhere to try shoes! They hurt a silly amount trying to get them on and not once ever have a bought anything that wasnt a 3.5 or a 4 UK sizing. These were so small and almost feel like your feet should be flat to put them on which nobody has flat feet like paper!

Super comfy, Eventually
Great, fit as always with Toms you need to give them a few wears to stretch around the shape of your foot. Once they’ve done that they are super comfy & light weight to wear.I wear a size 4 normally so I buy W7 Toms & I have wide, chubby feet. You have to power through the stretch to get to the comfy stage but once you do they are awesome. I buy a couple of new pairs every summer as I wear them out.

Perfect comfortable everyday casual shoes.
Absolutely love Toms! Very confortable for walking and everyday casual shoes.Easy slip on’s to match with jeans, dresses, shorts. I specifically love the ortholite soles.I am usually a UK5. I would suggest to take a 5.5 as they are slightly tight around the bridge of my foot but not uncomfortably tight. I have always loved the charity that Toms supports. For every pair of shoes you buy a pair is donated to underprivaleged.

Great little summer shoes
I love these canvas espadrilles. Lightweight and super comfy. My previous pair were several years old and I was finding it difficult to replace them locally .. until I found this seller on Amazon. I do have slim feet and although they fit me perfectly they might come up slightly narrow on a wider foot. Long live Toms!
