CA07 is excellent! Pass on CA134
I have tried both the CA07 and CA134 variants of this grip. In short, I liked CA07, and I returned CA134. CA07 is excellent! Crucially, it wraps all the way around the side to provide a thumb rest. This makes it much more comfortable to hold the camera, especially one-handed. You can quickly grab the whole thing by the grip in the same way you would a DSLR with modern styling. The finish is not a perfect match to the leatherette on the camera, but it's very close. The red line on the front provides a little flair to the styling, and the Arca-Swiss compatible baseplate is convenient. The fit is snug without being too tight - it has a confidence-inspiring sturdiness to it. I also like that a D-ring allows toolless installation and removal: while the grip is lightweight, it is a metal build, and I do prefer removing it on occasion when using very light lenses. Overall, I strongly recommend CA07! I think it is only maybe superseded by the official Nikon grip, which is many times more expensive. So, CA07 is a great value for the price! On the other hand, I do not recommend CA134. This appeared to be an attempt to improve on CA07, and when I first heard about it, I ordered one promptly. Regrettably, it has a fatal flaw: it is terribly uncomfortable to actually hold. It appears the designers tried to work in a somewhat softer, more ergonomically shaped grip - one that is somewhat representative of Nikon's modern-styled bodies. You would think this to be a good thing, but it's not: the shutter button is not in the same place that it is on modern-styled bodies, which means your grip overall has to shift accordingly. So, if your index finger is on the shutter button, either your middle finger is pulled up onto the "knuckle" of the grip, defeating the purpose of the shape, or you have to maintain an awkward and uncomfortable stretch. CA07 was much better in this regard: by providing a flatter grip surface, your middle, ring, and little fingers can fall naturally anywhere along it while your index rests on the shutter. Maybe this is better for someone with very large hands, but to me it feels like a flop. I also do not like that CA134 uses a tool for installation and removal. The magnetic attachment is clever, but likely to get lost. The gap for the tool also creates a "sharp" edge on the bottom left of the body, which is a problem if you're supporting the weight of a lens. It appears there is room for a D-ring just like CA07 - I don't know why they didn't just do the same on this model. In summary: Between the two models with a thumb rest, I strongly recommend CA07 over CA134.

Great compact grip! See the comparison of other Nikon zf grips
The Nikon Zf is a fantastic camera, but it's not the easiest to hold. A grip is a must-have, so I bought four of the most popular ones on amazon to see which is best. NEEWER Grip (CA073) (Good for: Someone who wants a smaller grip with fun aesthetic accents) This one is the best match for the camera's look and feel (outside of the red stripe). The texture is almost identical to the Zf's body, so it blends right in. It’s solid, lightweight, and doesn't wiggle at all. The only downside is the grip is a bit small, so if you have big hands, it might not be enough for you SmallRig Silicone Grip: (Good for: Getting the most secure hold on your camera and doesn't care for unique aesthetics) This is the grippiest one, hands down. The silicone is tackier than the camera body, so it feels super secure in your hand. It's built like a tank with zero flex. The Small Rig grips are the heaviest of the bunch so keep that in mind especially on an already somewhat heavy body. This grip feels the best to me in the hand! SmallRig Wood Grip: (Good for: Aesthetics, looks great) This grip looks amazing, but the one I got was a bit of a letdown. While the metal frame is solid, the wood handle actually flexes when you squeeze it. You can even see a small gap between the wood and the frame. It might just be bad quality control on the one I received, but it's a risk. For the price, it's not worth it. The wood also is relatively slick which might not bother some but I like the silicone version of the Small Rig grip better. SZZCNOX Wood Grip: (Good for: A solid, affordable wood grip that gets the job done.) This is the budget option, and you can tell it’s made from cheaper, lighter wood. That said, it's surprisingly solid! Theres no flex when using the camera and its the lightest grip out of the bunch. It's a great value for the money. The only annoyance is you need a hex key to put it on and take it off which in my mind is a deal breaker, however, if thats not the case for you its a great option!

Great affordable alternative to Nikon’s grip, but it is still too small and wobbly
The Z f would be unwieldy without this grip. Your fingers can find purchase on the textured surface that looks very nice. I was unsure about the red stripe on the front, but the nod to heritage is subtle. While this product greatly enhances confidence when handling my camera, it comes up short in some ways. I’m glad the grip doesn’t protrude too far in front, but I wish they built it up more on the back side. People with smaller hands may not have this same issue, but I found it necessary to add both a thumb rest and a palm rest. Another minor concern is the single attachment point on the bottom of the grip. The screw is easy to turn given its lever, but it loosens easily. My camera usually wobbles a little in the grip by the end of each day, so I am tightening that bottom screw on a daily basis.

Cool grip
Cool grip that makes the camera look even better and more retro. Not sure if it’s just me but the screw that holds it in place via tripod mount keeps unscrewing every so often. Gets pretty annoying. Adds a little grip that helps make the camera more comfortable to hold. The quality is there and feels durable. Fit was also good, other than the screwing issue. Decent price.

Solid, Well-Designed Grip for the Zf
This handgrip fits the Nikon Zf perfectly and immediately improves comfort and control. The design is solid and thoughtful, with a shape that feels natural in the hand without adding unnecessary size or weight. It keeps the camera balanced and easy to handle, especially during longer shooting sessions. The overall build quality is excellent, and installation is simple. It’s lightweight, comfortable, and makes the camera noticeably easier to use. Works great and delivers exactly what I wanted.

Not as good as Smallrig grip.
Price was so good I had to try it to see if I liked it more than the Smallrig grip. In short, no. Neewer grip fits the camera okay though I’d prefer the little flat end of the grip not have the red stripe as it clashes with my red body. More importantly is the fact that the grip is slick and more of a plastic feel compared to the Smallrig’s far more grippy rubber texture. Returning this as I immediately put the Smallrig grip back on. If Neewer drops the red stripe and more importantly, changes the grip to a more grippy material this would be on par with the Smallrig.

Thoughtfully designed--excellent value
I have 2 Zf bodies, one has the OEM Nikon Zf-GR1, which matches the Zf aesthetic perfectly, but I wanted a more affordable grip for my back-up camera. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of this Neewer CA07--leatherette feels real, and the addition of a thumb grip makes it more comfortable to hold than their original design. The grip is deeper than the Zf-GR1, so it feels more secure for the right hand. My only niggle is that, if I use my left hand to support the other side of the camera, the base is too angular and digs into my left palm a bit. However, the base plate is the proper width for virtually all Arca-Swiss clamps (unlike the Zf-GR1, which is too narrow for many clamps--I had to switch out the Arca-Swiss clamp on my ball head to fit the Zf-GR1). No wonder Neewer can't keep these things in stock--the CA07 is a tremendous value!

Significantly improves on the earlier Neewer grip
With this CA079 grip, Neewer has taken their previous grip for the Nikon Zf and dramatically improved it simply by a subtle redesign of the front grip angle and with the all-important addition of a rear thumb grip. The change to the front makes the camera easier to hold when not in a shooting position (it's more squared off from the camera body) and the rear thumb grip is small but very well designed to provide a very secure hold by your thumb on the body. The addition of this means you don't have to squeeze the grip like you did on Neewer's earlier effort, and this dramatically reduces fatigue when carrying and shooting with the camera. As someone who has owned all the major grips for the Zf (including Nikon's own Zf-GR1), this new Neewer grip is the best of the lot, and the most comfortable to use. They also added a touch more space around the SD card making it easier to remove that as well.
