Truly flavor free, great quality, perfect for when I want to bake with protein powder or make a drink with it. Lately I’ve been adding it to my coffee in the morning and it’s great- does get clumpy though if it’s not stirred well enough.

This is not only an unflavored protein powder, but true to its description: it doesn’t have any flavor. - not even an after taste. Many times I just mix it in regular lactose free milk and the milk retains its natural taste! I have already purchased it a second time and will buy it again when I run out of it!

So far this is the best protein powder that I’ve tried. I love that it doesn’t have artificial junk in it. The first time I tried it, it did not mix well, however, I’ve been using a milk frother and now I can’t even tell it’s there in terms of texture. It does have a taste even though it is unflavored. It tastes like cheese to me, and it isn’t a bad taste it’s just a little weird depending what I mix it with. That is the reason for four stars instead of five. Otherwise it is great. I only use a half scoop at a time and it keeps me full for long periods and digests easily without any bloating or stomach upset.

I am judging whey based on its suitability to add to my morning hot chocolate, which has some heavy cream, no milk, sometimes some other vitamins or fibers or flavors, and nine times or of ten no sugar. I use a frother with a whisk attachment to mix and start with 145 degree water to keep the whey from curdling. I also have a very strong sense of smell, which makes me very picky about most protein sources as they can easily have off-putting smells to me. I have been buying grass-fed whey only. This whey mixes in fine, but does not taste super great in hot chocolate. It's not the worst I've had, but it's not good. It also has a slightly not-quite-completely-smooth-and-homogenous texture when mixed in. Will not buy again. This whey may be good for other things or if you're sense of smell is not overly strong like mine. 3/5/26 update - I have noticed that the initial mix in 145 degree water does not have an odor, but after adding hotter, something changes and it gets a little stinky.
