I bought this thinking it was a larger spool with wide ribbon. The spool is small (2 3/4 inches) and the ribbon itself is 1 mm wide! This is great if you are wrapping treats for the woodland fairies or very teeny tiny people who live in teeny tiny mushroom houses. But for regular folks...no. And at this price? NO.

Very disappointed in this item after reading the 50/50 reviews i decided to risk it and buy it was really shocked when i opened the box cery thin ribbon and very small I was expecting it to be kind of small but not I was expecting it to be kind of small but not that small my two year olds hand is bigger defo rip of has iv now got to go find some more appropriate ribbon for my gift box’s I would return but I’m in isolation right now

Depending on what you want to use it for this is either good or bad, I gave it 3 stars as a kind of neutral rating as it wasn't really what I was hoping it was going to be like but it was still useable. It's very hard to see what kind of material it is from the picture, I would describe it as the type of material that plastic shopping bags are made from, which wasn't what I wanted but I wasn't able to see this clearly enough before purchasing which is why I thought it would be helpful to put it in the review. The product itself is good strong ribbon and I'm sure could have lots of great uses, there is lots of it for the price and the colours are nice. My other issue with this product is that you have to pull all the colours out at the same time otherwise it gets tangled. You aren't able to put any back once it's pulled out and so if like me you only needed two of the five colours at a time you end up having lots of left over string and you then need to find a way to store it. So if you want to use all five colours at once and you don't mind the texture of plastic ribbon then this is a great product and worth a buy, but it will very much depend on what you want to use it for. Hope this is a helpful review.

I used this raffia for tying up packs of Christmas cards and envelopes, so chose the Christmassy colourways but love the fact you can buy different colour combinations. The raffia comes in a spool which is SO much easier to deal with than the bundled sort! It comes out in five strands so I wasn’t sure whether there would be 10 metres of each strand. However there WERE 50 metres of all five strands which were sufficient to tie well over100 packs of 12 quality cards and envelopes in both directions with enough for a really nice bow on top. Absolutely delighted with the result and very good value for money. Am recommending this make to other friends who also want to use eco-friendly wrapping materials.

This is brilliant. I was look for something to replace Sellotape and this is perfect. • Use the colours altogether in a pretty bow on presents. • Perfect for embellishing cards. • Use on bouquets and flower arrangements. • Can be used in hair dressing.A reviewer who left negative reviews saying the strands were too thin is unfortunate. The strands ARE thin but this makes this product fun because you can create designs with lots of colours in one go!

I mistakenly opened the plastic wrapper around the ribbon and realized that it was crucial to keep this in place in order to pull the threads of ribbon out through the top! Immediately became a tangled mess and impossible to work with. Looks pretty but even if I hadn't made that mistake it's a lot harder to wrap things up in than regular ribbon.

I read the reviews for this and saw that others had had issues with the raffia becoming tangled. When delivered, the film around the spoil was ripped and falling off. Because of this, I was really, really careful when trying to use this but it was pointless. All the string was tangled and knotted inside the holder and came out in clumps. It’s now in the bin. I definitely would NOT recommend this product.

Very hard to use. Kept getting tangled so had to keep cutting parts off. Ended up with a lot in the bin. Would be better if it came in something you could feed it out of. When I finished using ended up with a big clump so also not easy to store after use. Looked prettyish on presents but wouldn’t buy again.
