Good for therapy
I am childrens mental health counselor and this book is great for a high functioning child who struggles with anxiety. It is used for a child that can verbally express themselves and do cognitive work. I wouldn't use it with a child who has had a lot of trauma and is not able to verbalize their feelings. However, I find it very helpful for some of my clients who suffer with anxiety!

Recommend
I love it. My kids love it. Super cute and fun stocking stuffer or Easter gift that isn’t candy or plastic toys.

Basic workbook
Cute workbook. Doesn't photo copy well. Not highly clinical, probably could have found most of it online.

Incredible book to help with childrens anxiety
My 8 year old boy refused to accept that he had anxiety until I convinced him to have a look through this book. He loved the book so much that he realised it's ok to have anxiety! He is now able to recognise when he is anxious, he is ok with not knowing what may be causing it and he reaches straight for this book to help get to the bottom of his worry or just for a distraction.20 minutes ago he was crying before bed saying he was anxious, he asked for this book to have a look through. Now here I am writing a review while he draws a picture to make me laugh in the "laughter is good for the soul" section.Saviour!

Brilliant book for kids
I bought this for a friends 8 year old son who was having some problems with anxiety and worry. He loved it, as did she. They would go through it together and she could talk to him about the worries he was putting down or ask him to talk more about what the book was asking him to do, in an observatory way, rather than quizzing him on how he was feeling.I had done a bit of mindfulness myself and the book follows a similar learning style to what I did. It's illustrated beautifully and really well set out. Would really recommend for any children who are struggling with worry and anxiety.

Nearly everything known about everything, written in a very readable, informative style
This book makes fascinating reading both straight through or as I did, in bits and pieces. It is charmingly illustrated to make it easy for both kids and adults to have such a book, and much more fun than to download it. Buy it as a gift for a young person and you'll want a copy for yourself as well. A five star book to keep.

Best book i ever bought my 9 year old
My daughter was going through a phase of worrying due to various reasons, school work, covid and such like.I thought it was a good idea to write her worries down then saw this. It has made an enormous difference .We sat and did some together the first day it came and shes continued to do little bits before bedtime even when not particularly worrying.I would recommend to every parent, its changed how my 9 year old deals with her worries.

Great buy for all Children
My husband and I have purchased a number of these books in the series to help our 3 daughters develop their Social and Emotional Learning, with the foresight that it will lead to them becoming less vulnerable to developing mental health issues as they move though the growing challenges of school and adolescence. Thankfully, our children love these books, which are highly engaging and flexible. We work though them together. Thanks to several tips and techniques our girls are becoming more adapt at controlling and combating negative thoughts and emotions as well as improving their communication skills. The books gently teach and inform by tapping into the child’s creativity, such as drawing, writing or making things i.e. worry jars. The books provide children with several mindful techniques and CBT methods which they can perform every day such as breathing techniques, yoga, meditation, exercise etc. At the back of the book there are several small tips for parents, and for children who may need a bit of extra help every now and then, the books give information on Childline & The Samaritans. All in all, a great buy for parents or anyone who works with young children.
