P.when('A').execute(function(A) { A.on('a:expander:toggle_description:toggle:collapse', function(data) { window.scroll(0, data.expander.$expander[0].offsetTop-100); }); }); Best known for boat shoes that have logged more miles of open ocean than any other brand, the Sperry Top-Sider story began on a raw winter day in New England. When avid sailor and hobbyist inventor Paul Sperry let his dog Prince out for his daily exercise, he noticed that the cocker spaniel was remarkably stable, even at a full run on the snow covered, icy crust. Paul raced back to his laboratory to begin working. Using pieces of rubber, a razor blade, and an ordinary sneaker, Paul had soon pieced together the prototype of the world's first boat shoe. Subsequent designs yielded the original Sperry Top-Sider now known as the Authentic Original. Since 1935, Sperry Top-Sider has been the leading brand of footwear for those who love the water. From its introduction of the world's first siped rubber outsole for non-marking traction, to its advanced technical fabrication to combat the elements, Sperry Top-Sider remains the vanguard of high-performance amphibious footwear. Available around the globe in fine independent, marine, and department stores, Sperry Top-Sider is the official footwear of the U.S. Sailing Team, Zodiac Academy, the World Billfish Series, and the Shimano Fishing Tour. Favorite shoes back!
I ordered a size 8 and 8.5 as I used to wear an 8 years ago and they were a bit small, so thinking an 8.5 would be better, but they were huge. So as some others have said, sizing seems to have changed. Glad they are making this shoe again, always a favorite for me.

Stylish, low profile, make even large wide feet look dainty!
When I was a kid, I broke my foot. Somehow these fit me size 10 W!Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2024These are stylish, cute, low silhouette, elaborate boat shoes that do not look blocky nor big, which Is rather surprising since my size is a 10 W! Almost never shoes even fit me since I broke my foot as a child and the healing process caused the side of my foot to broaden. They are styled in such a way that they actually look small just as they do in the product picture. Somehow, they do not press on the side of my foot which has the permanent healed bump without it showing at all, so no pain. These are a design marvel. My large feet look small and stylishly streamlined. The shoes will look wonderful on anyone since they look fantastic on me. I’m the ultimate test.

Not the Sperry they used to be.
My old Sperry AngleFish had a firm arch support. This new pair shows the arch support but it's too soft and doesn't work. I don't need a lot, but I need some. I'm trying some inserts to see if I can wear them for a few hours. I won't be purchasing Sperry again. I'm not sure if I'll return these or not.

Great for a man with high arches and/or high instep!
I have several pairs of men's Sperry's that I love, but I have very high arches and insteps. I often have to take my shoes off due to too much pressure. I saw the angelfish in an email from Sperry and noticed the low vamp. This prompted me to search for men's low vamp shoes. The only ones I can find are super expensive italian loafers, starting at hundreds of dollars and even over a thousand dollars! In the linen/oat color, there is nothing feminine about these shoes, and my wife agrees.I am thoroughly enjoying being able to wear these all day with no pain! These will be especially beneficial for longer road trips and flights. They do not have complete arch support for me, but much better than most shoes come with. After they break in some I may try putting in a pair of my arch support insoles.
