Well Built but No Instructions
This is a nicely built crimper. I've used crimpers before but not this particular style. Amazon says, "comes with instructions", but not with my copy so I had to do a little trial and error to get good crimps without crushing the pin insert end of the connector. The numbers on my copy of the crimper differ slightly from the Amazon illustration with the largest being 2.0mm instead of the 1.9mm shown. No biggie. The tool has a good ratchet mechanism which is used to hold the connector in place while the wire end is inserted and then the crimp is finished. Makes great crimps. It's coated with some kind of lubricant which stains so be careful no to lay it on your prize tablecloth when taking it out of the protective plastic bag. Wiping it down doesn't help because there's more lubricant in the bag so it's coated again the next time you remove it. You probably don't want it lubricant free, because this lubricant probably contains a corrosion inhibitor to preserve the tool.Very good tool for the price and works well, but when crimping, be sure to check the insertion distance so the actual connector doesn't get crushed in the process.

It's great quality.
This is my first crimping tool. I was so excited when it arrived, I felt like a kid with a toy. I have never crimped before but this tool is fantastic. It's light yet sturdy, and it grips comfortably. Feels just right in my hands. With a few tries I was crimping like a pro.

Works pretty well for small connectors that I have tried
This crimper is decent quality. It wasn't over oiled or smelly like others commented in the past. It is one of the only cheap crimpers that I found that can do Molex Mini-Lock connectors without deforming the insulation crimp. I have also tried dupont style connectors with good results. This crimper is a fraction of the cost of Molex approved tooling and is more ergonomic than the "service" grade crimper because of the ratcheting mechanism. It works for my purposes. It is good for hobby and personal projects, but I would still use Molex sanctioned tooling for anything critical.

Works reasonably well with Hirose DF-13 contacts
I've been trying to find a tool that will work with these small Hirose DF-13 contacts. This crimper does a passable job. Not as good as the official $600 tool from Hirose, but a descent option for the money.

Great set of crimpers
Great set of crimpers.. As another reviewer stated. Make sure your putting the pins in the right direction.. and there not to far or short in the jaw position.. Then slightly crimp to hold the pin. Then push the wire in. They work great and for an E-Bike you need these!! Makes for a great time savor and short work..Used for larger pins as well, you just have to be carful not to crimp to tightly and flip the spring loaded release up first.

Great Crimping Tool
I'm coming from a crimping tool that consistently cut the wires that I was trying to crimp pins to.This one works flawlessly, just the right amount of pressure before the ratchet resets, and it curls the pins around the wires beautifully. The only thing I could complain about is one of the handles came off immediately, but I just had to heat the plastic a bit and bend it back in place and it's perfectly fine now.
