Wonderful !When one doesn’t have fresh lemons..this gives a prefect snappy true lemon flavor!

This is what Lemon Powder should taste like.

This lemon peel powder is very fine, like that of fine flour, and is compactable. The texture melts in your mouth when just placing a little bit on your tongue. I believe the package label does not do this justice - the color is a faint yellow and pretty rather than the brownish color shown on the front of the bag. This is very tart and concentrated! If substituting for lemon zest, make sure you don't use equal amounts!! As I understand it, 1 T of lemon zest = 1 t of lemon powder - so use sparingly. I like to perk up my summer drinks with lemon, so this will be so handy to use rather than cutting up fresh lemon. My one issue with this product is the labeling did not state that this was 100% lemon peel. It just says lemon peel powder on the front, but no nutrition label or ingredients stated. I'm assuming it is 100%, and hoping so.

For the price point, this is a quality product. I add it to my green juice in the mornings. Hint: also makes a banging margarita when mixed with some fresh lime juice !!

Buyer beware. This lemon powder destroyed my first batch of cookies. I wrote “first batch,” because I had to remake the first one! I know I know…I should have put a little on my finger to taste..but I was in a time crunch.The powder that I put into the cookies made those lemon cookies taste musty….it has no bad odor in the package or to taste, but once it is mixed with wet ingredients and baked…yuck.

This is a nice product but it depends on what you are expecting. The title says that it's lemon peel powder, so I was expecting something that has the bitterness of lemon peel pith. However, the description later says that it's freeze dried lemon juice... It has lots of lemon flavor, just no bitterness. for most people, this is probably a good thing. For me, it was a disappointment. It should not be described as lemon peel powder if it has no lemon peel in it!
