When I picked up the package containing these incense sticks, I could smell a lovely smell before I even opened the grey bag. And when I opened the box and then the polythene wrapper, the lovely smell got even stronger. I can't decide if this lovely smell is lavender or not. I was worried that when I burnt them, the lovely smell would become so strong that it would be overbearing - but I was wrong. Because although the smell did not become overbearing when it was burning, it wasn't lovely either! And it did not smell of lavender to my nose either. Good job I only bought one box because I probably won't bother burning any more of them :-?Update: I put the polythene wrapper containing the rest of the sticks on my bedside table and I am still getting wafts of the lovely aroma several days later :-)

These incense sticks are the real thing - you can smell them even through the plastic envelope they arrived in! They seem handmade and being so are rather fragile but for the money they cannot be beaten for value. My partner uses them in his shed usually but he put on unlit in a houseplant and I keep getting a hit of lovely rose every time I walk past it... Delivery was very slow but I guess we must make allowances given the Corona-virus scenario

I chose the Musk and am satisfied it is genuine. It is such a low price and free delivery, so I fear the wonderful people making these incense sticks are being paid a pittance, if at all. That makes me feel guilty enjoying the warming, sweet and rich aroma the sticks generate.Musk is a good choice if you enjoy a sweet and warm aroma. It is thoroughly pleasant and makes my evenings more relaxing.

I'm always weary about leaving a negative review but this is simply awful. I took it out of the pack and left it on my desk. When I came back in the room, the whole room smelt of it. Stunk really. It's supposed to be a sandalwood fragrance but it just smells like a chemical cocktail. I certainly wouldn't burn it, it's straight to the bin. I'll stick to aromatheraphy and considerably more expensive and natural incenses. Really a case of what you pay is what you get. Sadly.

These incense sticks just smell like bonfire.Don't get me wrong, I love the smell of bonfires....just not in my house. They had no fragrance whatsoever but on opening the package I was hopeful as the smell was lovely - on burning the fragrance just disappeared.Very disappointed, I'd give zero stars if I could.

Although the incense had a pleasant odour when lit it certainly wasn't one of cinnamon I'd ordered. They burnt really quickly, around 20 minutes by my timing. The core stick was as thin as a needle so it didn't sit right in my incense stick holders either. I wouldn't buy this brand again.

This smells lovely - until you light it. Initially it smells like a toxic bonfire, or a cigarette, then when the flame goes out, literally nothing at all. Complete waste of money. One star because I have to leave one.

The actual incense stick itself burned nicely, is better made than some other incense sticks. It’s burned nicely, more potent smell and over all just top notch. The smell however I find revolting but hey ho!
