I had purchased this scope used. At first I thought, "meh", the actual screen is very small (about the size of the cheapie DSO Shell, single-probe oscilloscope). That can't be very usable. I then wondered if I should just purchase a screenless oscilloscope that connects to a PC (the "PICO" comes to mind). AFTER I PURCHASED this Hantek (used price that I couldn't pass up), I found out that Hantek has free, downloadable software that you can use the included USB-C cable to connect to a PC, JUST LIKE a screenless oscilloscope! (WITH ADDED FEATURES) So, it's like two oscilloscopes in one! If you need the larger screen and more features then you drag out your laptop and hook it up. If you need the portability of the handheld and can put up with the small screen then that is what you have straight out of the box.I have another brand benchtop scope but the value of this are the included specialty probes and presets for automotive diagnostics. (It comes in three different kit configurations. Choose the one with the tools/probes that you need.)
