This product 1000% works. It did for me anyway. After my 1st use, I instantly noticed a small patch of black hair on my mostly gray/white beard. I had to wash my beard a few times to make sure I had washed out all of it. I couldn't believe it had worked that quickly. After a few more uses, I noticed my white beard become a silver-ish color. After about 2 weeks of usage (twice a day), 90% of my beard was black. I WAS ACTUALLY SHOCKED. So, I went on and purchased more. I also bought the MENFIRST Darkening Beard Balm, Leave-In Conditioner Cream. It also works for me and makes my beard nice, smooth and it also smells good and fresh. Not sure why the product doesn't work for some people. But so far I am very happy with it. I know have mostly all BLACK beard with a few strings of grey...which is fine and apparently the ladies dig. Happy I gave it a shot and will continue to use.

Used it as instructed for over a month and a half with absolutely no results! This does not darken white/grey hair! A complete waste of $18 + dollars! Would love to get my money back, but...

Menfirst gradual beard color positions itself as a rival to the Just For Men grey hair reduction shampoo. This product has a dark, somewhat fluffy texture when it comes out. It advises leaving the shampoo in your hair for five minutes, but I couldn't tell you exactly how long it was before I started noticing the shampoo dribbling down my neck – definitely wasn't five minutes, though. Seems like this might be more suited for use outside the shower. The shift in hair color is extremely slow and appears to primarily darken hairs that still retain some pigment, but doesn't seem to affect the grey hairs much, which defeats the purpose for me. Chances are, I'll be going back to Just For Men.

Used control gx but it’s messy, stains and felt less than natural, particularly dealing with the irritation it eventually caused. This has zero irritation but effects are far more subtle and take time to build up. As one reviewer mentioned 5-7 washes you see some results. Soften your beard with other conditioners and your results improve with daily use for 15 minutes.I’m happy with the outcome although to get to the color I wanted takes a bit more effort more often, it’s preferable to the chemical burns from dye or the red cracked skin under my beard from similar darkening wash products.Four stars cause at the required volume it’s pricey.

Perhaps its my hair color, but this actually made my hair look grayer then it is! I stopped using. This product will color your hair noticeably with just a few uses.

This shampoo is great! Washed my beard, left the darkening shampoo in for five minutes. I noticed a visible difference the very first time I used it. I did not notice any bad smell at all. I think I will use it again tomorrow, and then that may be all the change I need. My beard was getting very white, and I just wanted to put a little brown in it.

This product didn’t reduce gray in my beard at all. There are other products on the market that work better. Very disappointed.

I have a dark black beard with a bright white chin. Mustache is salt and pepper as well. This product actually took the bright white out in 4 days and turned it to a Smokey grey. It darkened the black in my beard and I don't have the bright white right now. I'm going to leave it alone for a few days and see what happens. It also does not have that (I just died my beard black) look, it is subtle and I could not be happier.

Well...it makes your beard soft and all but after over a month...I haven't seen any difference. Could take longer.I'll keep trying.

I used this exactly as directed and only two things happened. The bottle it comes in split and spewed dark brown gel all over the shower, and my beard remained white.

No change after 1 week of use. There doesn't seem to be any lather action either which makes me think that I have received a faulty bottle .... just dry dark paste in the tube with no liquid consistency.

Product did not darken beard as shown in the pictures. Would not recommend.
