Keeps the birds clear of my car
In my parking garage, there's a pipe for the fire-sprinklers right over my parking spot. The sparrows that live in this garage used to leave a line of mess down the whole length of the car. I put these up two weeks ago using cable-ties to keep them on the pipe and the car has been clear of bird droppings ever since. Success!I used two cable-ties per section but ran out of the included ties so make sure you have a few extra on hand when installing this way.

Works, and easy to install with the right tools
I used GM double stick tape in places where I couldn’t get into with a screwdriver or drill (Up in corners of eaves) and shot a couple brad nails where I could for extra security. They provide small screws and zip ties for installation uses and they work fine where they fit. Most of mine don’t show at all or very little so as long as they’re in sturdy they’ll hold up fine. The materials are hard plastic, I assume they’ll last many years. If not, I’ll update this review.

They don't work
It did not keep any birds away. In fact, they were happily weaving their grass and twigs in and out and between the spikes. I had to put bricks on top of the spikes to keep them off. I failed to cover the spikes in one corner, and a pair of house finches built a nest lickety-split and the female is already sitting on some eggs. Yes, there's a strip of spikes under this nest.

Did the Job!
I did not need more than a 2in-by-2in square, but once I put it up, the birds were no longer able to nest there, and they tried! The adhesive is ok, but I had to re-enforce it for the outdoors.

Mission Accomplished!
The media could not be loaded. I've tried EVERYTHING to keep my cockatiels from perching on my t.v and the trim around my windows and doors but nothing worked! Until now! I know I sound like an infomercial but I'm excited because they were destroying everything from eating my drywall to pooping on my electronics. My birds are my babies and wouldn't think of clipping their wings or keeping them caged all day so these strips were heaven sent. I simply cut them along the lines that were already groved into the plastic and used a dot of hot glue to hold in place. I plan on painting in a few months so I already checked to see if the hot glue would be easy to remove from the trim and it is. Either they'll be trained by then or I'll put them back up. Either way, I've reclaimed my room back and couldn't be happier.

Latest poop on the USPS. Maybe this will help.
My mailboxes are a favorite perch for the neighborhood birds whose excrement looks bad and ruins the paint. They needed some spring cleaning so I freshened them up with new paint and new decals. They got pooped on before the paint got dry. So, this is my experiment to see if I can discourage the birds.I like these spikes. They are just the right height and sharpness to deter the birds but not so sharp as to be very dangerous to human hands. They bend to the contour of the mailbox very well. I had to saw a piece from another section and add about 2.5 inches to span the length of the boxes. I used E6000 glue to attach them.We shall see if they work. Even if they don't, they make the boxes look pretty mean and unique!

These work great!!!
I was constantly having birds build their nests under the eaves of my home which created a huge mess underneath and an endless borage of chirping day and night. I bought these spikes to deter them from building in that same spot year after year and they worked like a charm. No more bird nests, no more chirping and no more mess.
