The original blink camera mounting is very poor and hard to place the camera on. You have to pound the camera on with the palm of your hand. I'm sure my wife could not change batteries in the blink with the original mounting.This mount fixes that problem. The camera slips inside of the mounting enclosure and a plastic retaining device snaps in front of the camera. The mounting enclosure easily screws onto the mount. The enclosure extends out over the top of the camera and helps keep rain off of the camera lens. It also has a nice opening for a wired USB power connection. In fact, we added USB power to our cameras. We ordered 2 sets of these to handle all 7 of our blink cameras. The only problem was tat one plastic retainer was broken on the first set. I wasn't able to get the seller to replace it. I would have had to return the whole set.

The round adjustment nut that goes up against the camera itself has a habit of not tightening, you turn it until it's snug and try to go a little farther, not much, then it seems to strip out.

First off, the original mounts were too frustrating, and I really hated having to change batteries or put the camera back up when I would find it on the ground. These mounts make it so much easier. However, I discovered that the access hole for the USB is not in the correct place. If I put the camera in so that the USB holes match, the camera would be ninety degrees off. They don't line up. Not a big deal if I never use the USB port. Secondly, the ring that firms up the position of the camera may be too loose and not hold the camera in place. It doesn't hurt too bad to buy extras so that you can swap out to get one that does properly hold the camera in position. Still, much better than the original mount.

I really liked the idea of protecting my blink cameras with these weatherhoods as well as the little contraption for the sync module, but I was having trouble finding a vendor that made a decent product. I purchased kits very similar to this one from two other vendors, but I ended up returning both. The plastic used in the other kits was very thin and flimsy with some pieces being warped so bad that they were unusable. But this kit does it up right. The weatherhoods are nice and skookum and the bracket for the sync module holds it very securely, zero worries of it falling out, unlike the other ones I tried. In my opinion, this is the best quality kit and it's the most reasonably priced for what you receive!

This product does not fit the Blink Camera 4 like it said it would. I never got a chance to install them for over a month as I was sick and busy with work. Now I can't return them. So I am very dissatisified with this product as its just plastic collecting dust now.

The cameras worked for about an hour then they stopped connecting and recording. I have so far spent hours on the phone to technical support. I have had to contact my internet provider per Blinks request and followed all their instructions. It is still not working. The cameras go offline often and I cannot access a live view. So far my experience has been terrible. Unless this can be repaired I am strongly recommending to avoid buying this product
