Awesome tool!
If you are doing anything where you have to pry things away from other things, this is the tool for you! I purchased this tool to pull tacking strips off of hardwood floors. We were pulling up carpet that had covered hardwood floors for close to 50 years. The tacking strips had to be the original ones that were put down with the first layer of carpet in the 60's because they were brittle and the heads of the nails were coming off. This tool has a small side that worked wonderful for pulling the nails and staples out of the floor. The bigger side has a skinny part that you can wedge under things nicely and pop it up. I know that if I wouldn't have decided on this tool, it would have been a lot more work for my husband and I. The only "problem" I had was that the thinner side for popping things up, would bend on the corner. To fix this, I would take my hammer and tap it back into place. This only happened a handful of times, but I still had to check it on occasion because I didn't want any more damage to the hard woods done. Overall, I am putting this with my other tools and will be using it again, I'm sure. Totally recommend!!!

A more sleek flat-end point, that is better designed, being just a hair thinner at the end.
I haven't used this yet, but I just bought it, and some things are obvious. So here are my two cents on this one.I'm going to say this is the best design among what's out there and it will work better. That's why I had to buy it. This will slip behind trim better with less damage potential and has a single sided bevel (on the top side, so the tip on this tool is just like the wood chisel's) for the end of the curve. I mean, the wood chisel is also flat on the bottom going out to it's razor end. And, about the curve, it is sufficient. The heel still gets thick in time---if I had to design one of these on paper, it would be just like this. I know the lady said she bent the corners, so I'm undecided on the steel in this thing. The nail pulling notches also are great. That is what appears on the box to be their main feature. These notches I will have to say will do the job and pull your finish nails. For a nail puller, this is above average. And I know as I've been using hand tools, cat paws, and hammers in everyday work for 25 years. It is practically identical in overall respects to all the competitions', except for these things; which I can cite 5 major name brands that come to mind as I've been needing one of these for a while. I've been eyeballing them but haven't wanted to shell out what they're asking when the tool lacked the first said main thing. On the box it says made in the USA, hardened high carbon steel, and they have been making quality tools (DascoPro) since 1922. That sounds good. So thus far, I am feeling fortunate to have found this.I will be back later to update this after using it for a time.

Great for trim carpenters
This is the best pry bar I have ever found for trim carpenters. It's wide blade allows me to pry things without damaging either the wood or anything surrounding it.Very solidly made, with little flex. Definitely high quality. Has stood up to me hammering on the short end pretty hard with no deforming or mushrooming of the steel. The only drawback is also a strength. The corners on the wide end are sharp, and it's easy to cut yourself when it's floating around loose in your tool bags. Of course, this sharpness also makes it better for sliding into tight spaces, so it's a toss-up whether this counts as a plus or a minus.Overall, I'd highly recommended it and include it in my Listmania list called "Fix Anything Tool Bag."

Fake
Fake. Not a real dasco product. Tried to buy a backup for one I already have and this one is a joke in comparison.
