Great tool for the money. plain and simple. Only complaint is the blade that comes with it is junk. Get some good blades and you will have zero complaints. That being said I would absolutely recommend this tool.

As of June 27 I've had mine about 2 weeks and blown away how good this thing works. Much smoother than most oscillators out there. I'm on my 7th Metabo cordless power tool with plans to buy several more. I've been massively impressed with Metabo HPT cordless tools thus far.

All my cordless hand tools are metabo, I use them regularly for work purposes. So I regret to say this oscillating tool is useless. First one I purchased, the teeth that hold the blade to the tool, broke after first use. Metabo did send a replacement, at first it was fine but now it shuts off as soon as the blade hits the material to cut, which in my case is drywall, should be easy for this tool and yes, I'm using a fresh battery. My first metabo oscillating tool shut off randomly as well. So save yourself a headache and avoid this one

It's almost a must have tool when making timber or plywood fit in places when access and space are minimal. It takes little to none of the battery, unless it is fitted with a bad blade. The tool it lightweight, comparable to other brands which I've tried and used. The only downfall is the holder for the blade which can be finicky though only when I was changing the blade at some height and it fell to the ground (holder) and there seems to be a washer of a kind that needs to be in a certain place and it got loose. Still holds the blade fine but the point is the holder itself maybe not the most fail-proof when in clumsy hands. Other than that I can highly recommend it.

This tool is absolutely amazing if you ever have a construction type project involving cutting ANYTHING. I have had a corded one for a decade, but it was an old clearance one that was underpowered and vibrated like crazy. I have several Metabo screw guns, and a hammer drill as well, so batteries are numerous around my place. This thing is a sweetheart to the hands, when they say low vibration they are not overstating it. The batteries last a long time, and it's a pleasure to operate this tool. It's very light but powerful, and oh man the freedom of no cords is liberating.

I have no idea what these people are complaining about. The blades lock on fine. You can use BOTH styles of blade with no issue and the vibration is as good as the fein tool. Smokes my DeWalts, Makita, Bosch and Milwaukee ones (yes, I have multiple tools sets and battery voltages) so I'm not blowing smoke up your ass like some of these reviewers who've obviously never used an oscillating tool before. If you can get it on sale and you're already on the Metabo platform it's a no brainer. ZERO issues.

Very disappointed. Loved the tool, but it kept breaking. The little plug that holds the blade in should’ve been one piece. With the vibrations the plastic falls off the metal and makes the tool useless. Tried super glue wouldn’t hold. Bought a second one and it broke after about 4hrs of use as well. Really hope metabo can fix this

Robust and well built tool. Really like the sturdy blade connection point. We have all colour of tools in a construction business and these are starting to prove to be the go to.
