Quite happy with this lock bought to replace an aging device. Standard dimensions so was easy to fit without having to do further chiselling. Should be more secure than old lock.

Does what it says - no problems so farGood quality - I think the door will break before this will :)

Value for money. But a bit basic. Happy to use it for my shed but wouldn't use it on my front door.

Size matched perfectly to my previous lock so it was easy to install.

Bought to upgrade the security on an integral door leading to a garage, having discovered that a lot of insurance companies consider this door to be a 'final exit' and therefore requiring a locking mechanism classed to British Standard.Fitting the new lock was a fairly straightforward task with only a bit of modification required to fit the strike plate which was larger than the original.The new lock feels reasonably substantial, has a nice smooth action, a 10 year guarantee and is BS3621 compliant. It is supplied with two keys.If the new lock lasts as long as the Union lock it replaced (30+ years and still working) I'll be happy.UPDATE:After about 4 months use, the latch bolt has sheared completely off. Obviously not made with enough strength to withstand the arduous task of daily opening and closing of a door despite its 10 year guarantee. Amazon have been very good and are sending out a replacement lock, hopefully this will fare better or I'll be looking for an alternative brand. Disappointed with Union who I had always thought of as one of the better makes.
