The frigging thing came in and it was all in French. Could not believe it. VERY disappointing!

This is a rather strange release of Flashdance, originally released in France or The Quebec Region of Canada. Only the first 2 songs are familiar to the movie fans. These are sang in English as a second language — not bad, but not great either. It’s impossible to fill the footwear of Irene Cara (no other even comes remotely close to those very distinctive pipes), and Michael Sembello. The other tracks are sung in French, and quite well. I would think this is a staged musical version of the movie it was based on. Fun enough though, and I’m glad that I now have it in my collection. How many alternate Flashdance recordings are really out there — nil.
