Best for shallow water purposes
You can't beat the quality of the suit for the money. And people who are 'waterman' like the dock builder from Maine will love them. BUT the quality of the neoprene is not deep water diving material. I bought them for cast netting and shallow dives around bridges with all kinds of suit ripping things. I went diving in shallow water late in the season and I was too cold for a 7 mm suit. If I was wearing a better suit like a Thermoprene or the new pro I would not have been cold at all at that temp. This suit is best for it's toughness and price point rather than it's thermal qualities in deep water. PEACE
