Convienient, effective, and safe
I love these cutters. I have two now and just ordered a third (one in every spot where I open or break down boxes -- garage, basement, and kitchen). I also ordered them as presents for my family. They cut easily through all the kinds of tape you might find on a package, as well as the packaging itself (cardboard, paper, plastic). They make easy work deflating those air filled package cushions without any popping noises. I never liked using scissors for any of those things, and while a razor works, you've got to be super careful with razors. I've found these serrated cutters to be very safe to handle -- you really need to make a cutting/sawing action to initiate a cut, so you don't need to worry about it poking you by accident and you can even hold it by the blade without any ill effects. The ease with which it cuts through cardboard (either for dismantling or cut out pieces for crafting) is amazing.

Absolutely indispensable.
These knives cut through cardboard like butter. And while not impossible, it's hard to to cut yourself with the blunt tip and serrated edge. I own three, two for different locations in my house and one for the office. I've started giving them as gifts and people go nuts once they try them. It's the perfect thing for Amazon frequent shoppers.

Wow! Great for Heavy Cardboard!
I had to break down two huge shipping containers, each of which was built to carry 135 pounds of content. The cardboard was more like particle board than the usual cardboard box.I don't think the job would have been possible with a normal boxcutter. It went reasonably fast with the box cutter knife. One definite caution and one maybe-caution. The definite caution is that using the thing effectively takes some real strength. Using it for an extended period will be tiring unless you're very strong. The maybe-caution is that it looks like there's a chance the blade might snap. If you're gonna buy one for a job, I'd buy two. Note that I did a lot of cutting, and the blade did NOT snap. But because I was worried it might, I was careful to never do anything that might bend the blade. So this is just a maybe-caution.

Very useful
I like it better than a knife for opening boxes.

tested by a non-handy sharp-thing-phobic human
This was purchased for use by the uncoordinated crafty household member and that's who is writing this review. :-DIf you are a person who tends to get cut whenever trying to maneuver sharp objects for a cutting project and are not very tool handy to say the least, this item is for you. Yeah, it's handy for tool-capable people, too. This was purchased to cut circles in boxes to make a cat fort. No idea how long the edge will last but it certainly made cutting holes in a box quick, easy, fun, safe and non-scary. Especially compared to scissors or whatever the other cutting tool is called... this was a dream. I did not cut myself or have any sense of a likelihood of getting hurt on this tool.

Works well on cardboard
Slices through cardboard easily with minimal mess no matter how thick. It's a handy tool and much easier to use than a bladed utility style knife for cutting cardboard. Very handy tool for that purpose. No cons so far and it's holding up as far as durability goes. A little pricey but it works!

I'm a believer
Bought these to use in a STEM lab for upper elementary and middle school. It has been so hard to find a tool (other than box cutters) for cutting cardboard. These are the perfect find as a mid-point between "Make Do" tools (for youngers) and the risky sharp box cutters. I have only had a couple students test them--we ALL were amazed at how easily they cut cardboard! Currently, they are sharp enough to score the cardboard (without having the saw all the way through), and the way the end is shaped is perfect for them to make slots. I'd say the edges are sharp enough that I won't let under 4th grade use them, but I expect my students will feel "grown up" as they use this safer, but effective tool! p.s. I am pairing these knives with my new canary cardboard scissors...the creative freedom of my students has been unleashed!

Where have you been all my life?
This simple little cardboard knife is awesome. Cuts through cardboard better than my electric one does and easier to grab and use. If I'm doing a lot of cardboard breakdown, I'll grab the electric one but for most jobs including opening boxes, I grab this even over utility knives. And it's very inexpensive for what you get. Love it.

Best way to cut cardboard
well-made and cuts cardboard almost like soft butter. The design of the blade is a hardened metal with small teeth that glides through the cardboard, it's way easier than a box cutter.

An essential tool for any DIY person
If, like me, you like to make sure that your carbon footprint is as low as it can be, you need one of these. They cut down boxes sooo easily that you'll be looking for more boxes once you've finished : )Honestly, it's such a great tool and cuts through cardboard with little effort. With one of these, there is no excuse for having "unbroken" boxes. All your boxes will got to the kerbside completely flat as it's so easy to do that with the Canary.

Come una sega per cartone
Non taglia ma sega, l'ho usato per segare degli imballaggi duri di multistrati, ha funzionato bene le prime volte ma sega meno dopo .

Nifty, safe and effective little box cutter that's value for money
It's exactly as advertised. It's a cutter that cuts corrugated cardboard (i.e., boxes) and plastic with relative ease. (I wouldn't quite say that it cuts like a knife through butter, but it's close.) It's much safer to use and more effective than a standard box-cutter. It's difficult to cut anything else with it, and you would be hard-pressed (literally) to hurt yourself with it. That's the genius of the product. I'm quite happy with it. I will update this review to comment on the sharpness/dullness of the cutter over time.Edit: The cutter retains its sharpness even after 19 months of use. Excellent quality.
