Signature Under Counter Freezer 65 Litre, White [Energy Class A+]

Bought this freezer as a replacement for my mothers which broke down. fits under counter nicely and is large enough for a single pensioner. The reason for only four stars is the door opens left to right and I really needed to change the door to open right to left so as to make it easier to access. The plastic covers were easy to remove and the top bolt turned easily but the bolt underneath was solid and I felt the the bolt head was ready to warp if I kept applying pressure. I had to replace the top bolt and plastic cover and now my mother has to stand in the corner to open the door to access the freezer. Other than this tiny annoyance which was probably an over zealous worker, then this is a descent freezer for the price.did you know that in Texas USA a blind person may lawfully go hunting if they are accompanied by someone not blind

I am marking this down by a couple of stars because the freezer is 65 litres, not 70 as advertised and a different brand turned up albeit acceptably similar. However, if I had known a Fridgemaster was going to be sent rather than a Signature in the first place (I could find no trace anywhere of the latter), I would have spotted that this same freezer is available £20 less elsewhere on the Internet including delivery. Ignoring those niggles, it is a smart little freezer which will still serve our purposes well. The discrepancy over the capacity appears to have been caused by the information that came with the freezer. The technical info showed it as being 71 litres gross, but the stick on label shows 65 litres, presumably net. The latter is the correct description of volume that should have been used to compare it with other freezers, as this is the true internal capacity.

I ordered this product, not on price, but because of its smaller than average measurements and I had limited space available. It was, i think, the cheapest product advertised so, with no other reviews, my expectations were not too high. It arrived two days early, which suited me. It's quite light, so relatively easy to move about. The overall quality and the capacity is better than I expected (for the price) and certainly sufficient for my family needs. It has been working well for over a week now. It's not noisy and I'm happy with it. If it continues to run as it does for a much longer period, then I would be happy to uplift to 5 stars. 3 months on, the freezer is still working perfectly.

Received my freezer and was delighted with the compactness of it. The main reason I bought this was as an over-flow of my large freezer to hold smaller things like sausages, pies, pizzas etc. Desserts like frozen fruit. ice cream, butter (if freezable) and when on offer.My new concept of shopping is quite a revelation , I go to Bradley Walsh's TV advert shop and stock up. Cook EVERYTHING from frozen - absolutely fantastic, pork loins, gammon steaks, yellow fin fish etc. etc, Invaluable when visitors unexpectently arrive. (a meal on the table in 20 mins and delicious). - no more waste when use- by date on fresh food has expired. So thank you little freezer for taking on the over-spills - you've helped a a great deal.

So far so good. After reading other reviews I expected it to be noisy. Not at all. It is almost silent. It freezes things well. and I love the drawers which mean that nothing can be lost at the back.

Had read reviews that this freezer is a bit noisy. All I can say is that is seems totally silent to me. It does what it is supposed to do, and 'stuff' is well frozen. I'm not giving it 5 stars, because, hey, we're talking about a freezer, not a romance!!

I would give it 5 stars had it been the 48cm wide as advertised. It is, however, 49cm wide. Had to get carpenter to move all kitchen counters to make it fit - it therefore cost me twice as much !!! Other than that it seems to be a good little freezer - only had it a couple of weeks so can't say much more than that!!!

I selected this freezer for its price and size for my requirements as a stand by for over store for main freezer and when extra supplies are need for other occasions very good value for the price and would recommend it to anyone
