Sturdy rug pad with right amount of cushion
3/8” pad was perfect for my 5x8 living room rug. Fit edge to edge- no trimming needed. Gives right amount of cushion without elevating the rug to show the pad or create a trip hazard. The product description mentions pad is not slip resistant, so I anchored rug and pad by both couches. Consistent thickness unlike some foam pads and I do not feel the cold floor through the rug any longer.

Protects my floors
I chose this to go under my new dining room rug. It's soft and cushion, so it makes my rug feel super lux. Great quality and it protects my hardwood floors. There was no chemical smell and it smoothed out quickly. I'm very pleased.

Cat Loves This Rug Pad and It's Very Cushioning
I wish I had realized this was polyester before I bought it. I looked carefully but it's going under my rug so no big deal. I think they put catnip or cat crack in this rug pad thought because I my cat is obsessed with it! No need to work out the folds as this rug lays flat. There was no smell. It's not sticky but it has some gripping on the bottom. If it wasn't polyester it would be higher quality. It works well and it's quite sturdy. Not much more you can ask for in a rug pad.

Good protection and peace of mind for LVP flooring
We recently installed new LVP flooring in our basement and needed a protective rug pad for our 8x10' area rug. We initially tried the Mohawk grip felt rug pad but found out that our manufacturer didn't approve of the rubber backing so we went with this just felt version. We chose the 1/4" height which we found adequate if not just a bit high as it does raise the rug off the surface (see photo). Any larger and it would be a tripping hazard. The product arrived rolled and larger in size than our area rug so trimming was necessary. One side is rough to hold against the carpet and one is soft for the floor. We trimmed 2" off each side. The easiest way we found to trim it was to place the rug upside down, place the mat on top 2" offset from 2 corners and then trim the remaining two corners. We creased each and used a 4' straightedge to draw a line with a sharpie and we used a sharp boxcutter to make several small passes. We placed a remnant piece of carpet under the pad and cardboard so as to not cut through the rug. We've had the mat on for around one month now and on our 8x10' rug with some furniture on top have noticed no slipping. It gives perhaps a bit of cusion but not much but that wasn't our intent. We purchased it so that the rug would not scratch the flooring and for that it seems to be doing it's job.Overall I would say it's a good value and much cheaper than some competitor products.Positives+ Great price compared to competitors+ Seems like a well made product and from a reputable brand+ Different size options and comes larger to allow for trimming+ No noticeable smells or offgassing+ Doesn't move when weighted with furniture. Did not try it without. I would imagine a heavy large rug may be sufficient but a smaller rug would need some type of rubberish backing to prevent slipping.Negatives- Even at the 1/4" height at offset the recommended 2" from the sides it still sticks up a bit which can gather some dust and perhaps be a tripping hazard.- This may be both a positive and negative in that since it is so dense it can be difficult to cut properly. A sharp new blade and several passes with adequate pressure seemed to work best.

Nice Rug Pad
We bought a beautiful rug on a trip to Morocco and had it shipped to our home. Once we got it down, we realized it felt thin and uncomfortable on our tile floor. So we decided to buy a rug pad.We had previously purchased rubber rug pads, and while they worked, they were very thin and didn't add much to the cushiness of the rug, so this time, we decided to try a thicker felt rug pad.It arrived quickly, and we unpacked it, put it down on the tile floor in our bedroom, and placed the rug on top. We realized that the rug pad was about an inch bigger than our rug. So we took a pair of ordinary scissors and cut a tad more than an inch so the pad would not be seen under the rug. It cut fairly easily, without any felt bits falling all over. We placed the rug on the pad, and it looked great—not too thick. But the real test was walking on it. It felt great (no pun) - not too cushy. It made our Moroccan rug feel like a thicker, more substantial rug. It did not feel like we had a rug pad under it. We're so happy we're considering replacing our other rubber rug pads with felt ones.

Just what I wanted
Some reviews complained of a odor. There was absolutely no smell. One side of the pad is a sufficient felt and the other side is rough and would not be suitable for my laminate flooring so I just put the soft side on the floor and the rough side facing the rug's rough side. You get what you pay so if I had a valuable persian rug or something I would probably invest in a nicer pad but it's good enough for my rug and the size was perfect with no trimming needed. It was delivered when I had company so I was able to put the pad down immediately and got help laying the rug on top of the pad and moving the table onto the rug. I will probably order another one later for my kitchen rug.Update: I just purchased my second one. Like before it arrived without an odor and no flaws. Definitely worth the money.

Rug pad
Great padding and protects hardwood finish but will slide a little either way it’s put down may or may not pose an issue for some
