Elegant and affordable choice for very balanced HiFI chains.
First of all: the expedition was really fast! Dispatched monday from Great Britain to Italy I received it friday. Well 10 £ it's not a cheap pricebut it worth it!If you are interested in knowing something about the sound I can tell that the Qed Performance it's a really good and affordable choice. If you are looking for a "dramatic" cable Qed performance it's not the right choice. But, if you are interested in a sound elegant and well refined with smooth but detailed treble, a very good centre and tight bass Qued is a perfect and well priced choice. The dynamic range is interesting with micro dynamics fast and detailed and macro dynamics powerful and controlled. In the audiophile world everything is questionable. The pleasure you can find in this cable depends on your taste in sound. In my sistem Qed Performance suites very well without any harm to the balance of the different electronics in the chain (a DAC 1 converter and a Perreaux amplifier). I read elsewhere some complain about the tightness of the RCA male plug on the female connection. Well, I think this people never tried to pull out a Linn Black cable from an amplifier, because, in comparison, the Qed is tight at the less indispensale level for an audiophile connection!

good value
I don't subscribe to the notion that paying hundreds of pounds for hifi cables makes them that much better, especially digital cables. These are reasonably priced, got good reviews from the hifi mags, and do the job just fine.

Very good cable
I plugged this item between my Arcam CD player and my Arcam Amp. And I am very happy with the sound.

Great as usual from QED.
Bought this to connect DAC to Cd player, had recently bought a cheap coaxial cable as DAC originally meant for just the PC. Muddy sound and annoying bass caused me to buy this cable, had bought QED cables before and also seen the good reviews. This cable has great detail and clarity and a controlled natural bass. Great value and quality build.

So so Sound
Recently purchased the fabulous Audiolab MDAC which I connected to a Logitech Squeezbox via a very cheap and nasty Optical lead but the system sounded great. Thought it was time to upgrade the interconnect so ordered this QED coax lead. All the mags give a 5-star rating but having fitted it to my system I was very surprised with the so so sound quality. The high frequences lost sparkle and the mid range desolved into the distance. The only plus point with this lead was the bass that was far more pronounced and tight. Perhaps that was because the mid and top frequences had faded!! All in all quite dissapointed with this so called top end lead. Advice: Go for a reasonable Optical cable every time. It makes sense when one considers you are transferring digital data and a coax lead is bascally for analogue purposes.

Typical QED quality
Using this to connect receiver to REL Airship. The signal is clear and there's no interference. Great product.

Not brilliant
Too be honest, I wasn't that impressed with the build quality. When I got it out of its original QED packaging I noticed that the plastic ring at the back of the plug was loose. It just spins round. The same plug with the loose plastic ring also didn't fit in my Denon AMP very well. I had to force it into the coaxial plug. Consequently I now can't get it off. The other end fitted fine into my bluray player. Can I tell the difference between my £3 coaxial cable and this one? Not really. If you listen really hard then you could say that the trebles are a bit clearer. All in all it's fine and is a lot cheaper than everywhere else. I think if I had paid the full price of £32 I would have sent it back. But for £20, it's ok, I will put up with it being stuck in my amp.
