Very helpful for your quitting journey
I’m surprised this product has no reviews, so hello all! First review. I have some things to say about this brand and product overall, but I’ll start with my review of this order.I initially got a bottle of the wrong gummies with some samples for quitting caffeine, and customer service was very kind and helpful. They quickly replaced the gummies with the quit smoking ones. If this happens to you, be sure to contact customer service through messaging, because you cannot return through Amazon. They included a little card with these instructions. The gummies taste fruity and sour, and do help curb cravings, so I believe in the product. However, you have to put in the effort because they’re not magical, and I feel the craving can come back a few minutes after if you don’t distract yourself or do whatever you’re doing to curb your impulses to smoke. I’ve found it’s more of a personal effort than the gummies themselves. Now, I had purchased from this brand before (about a year ago), when they were called Drop the Craving and came in a box, with the gummies individually wrapped in printed wrappers. See my photos - the box is the OLD product, the bottle is the ones I purchased recently and which this review is about. The gummies were a blue-green and also tasted fruit and sour, but with a little extra something herby and spicy that I LOVED. Back then I wasn’t ready to quit so I would maybe still get a cig, and after one I’d those green gummies, the cigarette tasted BAD, was not enjoyable at all, and I ended up putting it out before being halfway through with it. The gummies also helped me avoid going out to smoke on many occasions. I loved them and thought they were perfect, and I didn’t even go through them all, so I have some left. This new formula is different. The old ones had Kava, ashwaganda and lobeline, which the new ones don’t have, and the new ones have ginger. The old ones tasted better and were more effective in my opinion, although they were smaller. I wonder why they changed the formula? Maybe ingredient sourcing or regulation issues? Also why are they still blue in the photo, when the actual product is now red? I do feel a little suspicious about all this, and I’m writing about it here in case you hope to be buying the same product. Unfortunately, it’s not exactly the same, but like I said, it helps and I’ll still rate it positively. I wish the company would put in a note about these changes, or mention that the gummies will be red and not the expected blue.I also wonder what happened with the packaging… while I do think it’s more eco friendly to have them all in a bottle than individually wrapped (less plastic), the label quality is dramatically different. Fortunately, we can read the ingredients on this Amazon page or googling them, but the small print on the bottle is illegible. The individual wrappers are much better quality, with detailed instructions, than the matte stickers around these bottles. It doesn’t bother me much, though. I also wonder why the design changes, but the brand name Drop the Craving is consistent.Again, customer service was incredible and the storefront on Amazon seems legit, but the extremely poor quality of the labeling (mostly not even being able to read it) raises some questions. The bottle does not look like the photos and there were no extra bags like the image advertised.Regardless, I am very grateful for this brand and their quit gummies. If you are thinking of quitting and need a *little* help, these gummies will do it. I encourage anyone to add them to their quit toolbox, if you can.I am mostly basing the positivity of my comments on the old product and the good customer service experience I had with this order. The red gummies are helping, but I greatly prefer the old, blue gummies. Thank you Drop the Craving!
