the best conversation starters
ok, so my kids are never very talkative about their school day. it's always " i dont know or i dont remember" but this conversation kit has been such a great tool in initiating these conversations and making my kids actually WANT to talk and tell me about their day. honestly, i didnt expect my kids to be so into this set, but they actually ASK to use it when i forget, lol.

Not for all children
I really loved the idea of this but ultimately, my son didn't really engage with the idea so it hasn't seen much use. I think it's something you'd have to try with your children to see if it clicks with them.

Amazing tool to prompt conversations!
I LOVE this little conversation kit. We've had great experiences with learning resources before and this kit is no exception. My kid has the tendency to say "I dont know" or "I dont remember" when I ask him about his school day in general, but this kit with specific questions makes it a lot easier to get an actual answer. The fun shapes and themes of the question cards makes my kid actually really excited to talk about his day. I'd highly recommend this to other parents or caregivers looking for a way to get their kids excited to actually talk about their day.

My daughter is loving this tool
My oldest grandson just turned 5 and is very vocal, but not about feelings or specific topics. This set has been valuable in bringing conversations on learning and emotions in focus. The prompts are helpful for both of us and the design of the cards are colorful and kid-friendly. This will be a useful 'toolkit' for years to come and at this pricepoint, I find nothing similar to compete with it - highly recommend!

popular in our house
First off, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the tin that this set comes in that it looks like a backpack on all the sides and even on the bottom. This has led to the younger kiddos asking for us to do 'the backpack thing" at dinner time.Generally the kiddos have been requesting that we pull cards out of this for discussion at least two nights a week, and they occasionally bring the backpack to me during the day and ask me to pick cards out for them. I'm not a good person at small talk so I have found this surprisingly useful to get a little conversation started during dinner. Highly recommend!

So Important!
I struggled to get my kindergartner to talk about their day, and then I got this nifty little tin backpack! She loves to pick a few of the sturdy cardboard questions and pass them to me to pick which side I'll ask today. It has opened up communication so much! There are questions in there I'd never remember to ask even though they are awesome, thoughtful things that really help me learn about my child's day at school! To anyone struggling to talk with their kids, get this! Oh! And the squishy pencil is her favorite to squeeze while thinking over her day!

Fun way to engage my daughter after school
The idea behind this, and the execution of the product itself, is wonderful. It's meant to engage your child in conversation about what happened during their school day. Generally when we ask questions we get short answers or a shrug. However, with more purposeful questions and some fun, it's easier to get more of her. She loves the squishy pencil, and also likes to turn the questions around on us as well.Overall, I love the fact that we have something that aims to engage her in conversation and help us learn more about what has happened duirng her days in school. For reference, my daughter is in first grade and this works well with her.

No more how was your day silence
These prompt questions are awesome. I use them in my car to question my grandchild about her school day. She will easily answer and enjoys reading the questions as she gets to pick 3 questions per car ride. Keep engaging and thoughtful conversation with out the need of an electronic device.
