Beautiful Boy

My first time reading this author and I'd just like to stress that she really does appear to know her onions regarding this lifestyle. As this is a very full on D/s relationship between our MCs, with a LOT of very detailed BDSM play, and as the couple enter into a 24/7 lifestyle relationship, there is also some rather intimate scenes of douching etc, so if any of this makes you feel uncomfortable, then this one is probably not for you.This tale centres on Mal and Kyle, who, after meeting at a BDSM club after one night, form an instantaneous D/s relationship. There is little to no plot in this one, which I don't mind if it's a real character based book, but I felt there just wasn't enough back story to these men or enough character development for me to really care for them.The sex scenes in this were certainly graphic and plentiful, however I feel they just lacked desire and passion as there was no slow build up to them getting it on, and for me this is crucial. Add to that, their relationship went at full throttle in what felt like the blink of an eye, which again I find unfulfilling, as I want the MCs to long for one another so badly that I practically feel their yearning. I honestly don't mind instalove on occasion, but for these guys to meet and speak of collaring (and at one point Mal even thought about putting a ring on his finger??) all within a 24 hr period, all just felt far too rushed. I know it's said that within a D/s relationship things progress that much faster, but this was really taking it to the extreme I think. I also personally like subs that are ballsy and brimming with confidence, even though they may enjoy submitting sexually, but Kyle just came across as a tad too needy and self-deprecating for my taste. However I did think Mal made a sexy, strong yet caring and attentive Dom, and I would've loved to have seen him and Kyle at their respective jobs and perhaps interacting more with others, or anything really that would've given us an insight into who these men were outside of their very close relationship. Overall I'd say this was a pretty interesting read, as I do find this type of relationship fascinating, but big romantic gestures at the end aside, I ultimately needed more to make me fall in love with this couple.

I've had this book for a long time and I finally got round to reading it....Don't know what took me so long...it was as Mal would say "Beautiful".....Kyle is a submissive and a masochist but he's also closeted....His parents wouldn't understand him being gay and would disown him...When he meets Malcolm Tate at a club during an auction he's met someone he finally clicks with seeing as no one else wanted him......Mal was pushed to attend after his friend Cam convinced him he wasn't to blame for the death of his last sub and friend Blake's death.....Mal and Kyle hit it off immediately and one night turns into a weekend which turns into a lot more......This book is mainly about their relationship...Kyle's submission....Mal's dominance and how they fit together....Mal always calls Kyle his beautiful boy.....The way Mal treats Kyle is simply beautiful and Kyle takes to everything he's given.....There's a lot of orgasm denial and a lot of punishment which Kyle takes to.....Although I love this book I think the plot with Kyle's parents could have been mapped out a bit more and made it a bit more angsty but in all it was done really well......Mal's family were amazing and I loved cam and Sammy with Mal......A book i'll definitely be re-reading x

What can I say about this book, although I don't understand the genre and even less about those who participate in the lifestyle, I do really enjoy a good love story and that fundamentally is what this is.Yes it's two men, but so what everyone is entitled to love but not all are lucky to find the trust and love that these two develope and share. I travelled with them every step and have to say I thoughly enjoyed the journey. Well written and wonderfully descriptive. Thanks Grace.

This is a really hot story. I the plot line holds you and it's a very erotic book. Highly recommended

This book is beautiful. The author knows her stuff regarding the BDSM lifestyle & it was portrayed very accurately. The relationship between the 2 m/c is the focus of the book & so I felt I got to know them on a very intimate level. Loved it. A definite reread for me.
