FastCapMondo Grout Gun with 2 Replacement Bags - Ideal for Grout Filler Repair and Home Improvement - 50 oz. - FASTC-3P

I ordered two of these grout guns to grout 250sf of interior thin brick. I have done several of these jobs with grout bags or smaller 20oz guns. This experience was MUCH simpler and faster. The negative reviews are most likes due to inexperience or mortar that is too thick. The 3 of us on the job all remarked how much better this was going than other methods.Here are some things we found helpful:**Rinse the parts after each fill - doesn't need to be clean water - just get rid of the "old" mortar.** A clean tube and clean (by clean I mean sand-free) plunger will close, lock, and unlock after use. If you smash it closed dirty - don't expect it to come open easily - you just filled it with sticky, gritty mortar.** For stress free use the mortar should be thinner that you "think" it should be....it wasnt unusual for the mortar to be plopping out the end of the of the bag. Even thin, the mortar is ready to strike in a few minutes.** cut the tip slightly wider that factory**keep your mortar well mixed from batch to batch**set your expectations appropriately - this is a tool designed to push an extremely sharp and abrasive material.**I would have been happy if these only got me through one job, but they help up really well and I feel like I would use them for several more hundred square feet of standard brick.

Its not like someone did not know that the tube seal would not immediately fail because there was a mickey-mouse screw drilled through the plastic into the metal frame. Very disappointed because I had two bags of mortar mixed to complete a pave project and while I was screwing around trying to put the gun back together it set.Good idea with an absolutely terrible execution.

A 3 because what I call the plunger ; the stainless steel ring is to small. I had to figure out something because the "plunger" pushes right through the grout. However after I cut some cord board about 3/16" bigger than the steel ring. It works great. A 3 because out of the box it wouldn't work period, and the videos on it sold me and they were wrong straight outa the box. Brain work required.

I thought this would be a time saver doing brick veneer, but honestly I’ll probably go back to the old fashion grout bag. The plunger on the gun needs a seal on it to keep the grout from squeezing behind it. In the right application it might be worth while for a thicker mix, but it was a disappoint for me

Just use grout bag. Thought this would be very useful. It was not, ended up using grout bag. Do not purchase.
