Star of the Show from Jacqueline Wilson. This is a 352 page book and is suitable for ages 8+. To summarise the book is about a young girl called Tess who has to help bring up her siblings due to family tragedies yet dreams of dancing.It's a beautifully illustrated book which is well written with an uplifting and motivational theme that inspires inner strength when things don't go your way.I ordered it for my 7 year old daughter who was captivated whilst reading it. She enjoyed the story and managed to read it herself with very little intervention. It's suited for ages 7 to 10 in my opinion and is well worth a read.

My daughter loves Jaqueline Wilson books so I had to get this for her. Will update with her thoughts after reading.

This is another lovely book from reliable children's author Jacqueline Wilson. The hardback is beautiful, with lovely illustrations, and would make a great gift.The story follows Tess, a poor young girl who has to look after her younger siblings but who dreams of dancing. It's full of friendship, family, dreams and overcoming hardships. The characters and voices are really vivid and it's charming throughout. Perfect for children aged 7-10.
