A solid robotic platform.
Most of the little parts have one additional spare - this really helps.A solid instruction makes an assembly process easier.Plenty of space for additional electronics to tinker with.Great value for a $.

Great gift for a kid whose dad coaches robotics.
This robot was a requested gift. Both the recipient and his dad (a robotic coach) we're thrilled to get this. Without assembling anything to date, the coach was impressed and indicated they would probably use it as depicted on the box.

Cool
Got K3-X. It came almost completely assembled, with two precharged batteries, two claws, a spare motor and a gift stand. I had to attach the claw and install the batteries. I had to use my own AAA batteries for the control.Worked fine for 30 minutes, then one of the motors failed. I was able to replace the motor with a spare one. See the second picture. Wondering what exact type of motors and gearbox used there to have one more item if another one fails.

worthless junk
I have ordered 4 different robot kits from different manufactuers. All have had parts missing. I am keeping this last one and buying the missing nuts from the local hardware store. I have no choice since our competition is next week. I returned the other 3 and have yet to recieve a refund. These kits are expensive and worthless. I am a long time Amazon prime customer and have never had problems such as these. When they raised the membership fee, I stayed. When Amazon stopped 2 day shipping, I stayed. These products are about to push me away for good. Amazon should do better. These shoddy Chicom companies shouldn't be sold on this marketplace.

Fun and challenging robot kit
Bought for my son, he's eight and was able to all the steps except for the tiny screw clamps holding the axles in place. Turned out great too, and lots of fun to play with. We did have to redo some steps - around step 12 or 13 it shows the arm angled downward and back, so we copied the picture. But suddenly a few steps later the arm segments are parallel to the floor and perpendicular to each other, which is the correct way. So I'd recommend looking ahead on the instructions before building. Other than that, an awesome kit.

Poor quality control
Bought this as a gift. One 21cm wire was missing and one of the motors didn't work. Since my son really wanted this one, I bought a second one, intending to return the first. But the second set was missing a part too.. so while I was able to put one functional arm from two sets, and return the other set, its disappointing that there is such poor quality control for such an expensive toy.

Love it so far!
My 10 year old and I just received it in the mail and got to work on it right away. The instructions are so easy to read/follow, very similar to Lego instructions, all the tools and parts and screws, etc are all packaged in such an organized manner, it just makes so much easier to assemble. My son kept commenting on hoq durable everything seems to be, he was expecting more plastic than metal. lol My 10 year is assembling it himself with ease. I can't wait to see the finished product and I will update with pics and video as soon it's done!
